1PROJECT MANAGEMENT
With the growing technology it is observed that effective approaches are being
implemented for the aim of expanding the business functions. There becomes a high need to
understand the importance of proper project management practices. With the help of proper
project management practices it becomes easy to manage the tasks while developing a project.
After going through all the modules I understood the importance of proper project management
practices so that it can ensure better way of completing the project. The main practices that helps
in proper development of project that I have learnt throughout the modules is that there is a high
need to have a proper risk management team. Before starting any project it becomes essential to
ensure that all requirements are met so that it can ensure better processing of the project plan.
While going through the project management practices I learnt that it becomes essential to
maintain proper relationship with the stakeholders so that it becomes easy to understand the
requirements. The project developed should be based on the goals set by the main stakeholders
and each team member needs to communicate proper with other project members and project
manager. This will help in finishing the project with great success rate.
In order to develop a project one more aspect that is considered to be essential is a
detailed work plan. The project must be developed by following the project plan so that it can be
executed within the time. This will help the project members to finish the project within the
deadlines. While working towards a project it becomes essential to have better communication
skills that will help in communicate easily with other team mates, clients, stakeholders and the
managers. According to me an effective communication will help in development of project by
reducing the chances of errors. Frequent communication and meetings will help in updating each
major stakeholder about the progress of project. This will help in making changes in case the
stakeholders or client demand for it. Moreover it becomes essential to have proper leadership

qualities that will ensure each process is being completed by individuals effectively. Apart from
leadership qualities one more important quality that is important for the team mates is the
technical knowledge so that it can provide better support towards the developing team.
Throughout the learning module I learnt that leadership quality lays a major role in tackling the
difficult situation and also helps in managing the team members. With a proper leadership
quality it becomes easy to make crucial decision at right time. The potential risks needs to be
addressed at the early stages so that the development team can be prepared for the mitigation
strategies. The risks are needed to be identified effectively so that it does not impact the progress
of the project at the time of execution. This process will help the project members to complete
the project within time effectively.
Project management plays a crucial role in completing the project and hence it needs to
have a proper control over the project members. Thus it becomes essential to ensure that the
project manager has a proper leadership characteristic so that they can manage team. According
to my knowledge the main features that are important for enhancing the leadership qualities are
integrity, have the ability to solve problem, and should have a better control over decision
making process, excellent communication skills and positive attitude towards the project. With
effective communication skills it becomes easy for project managers to communicate effectively
with other team members and stakeholders. A clear communication skill with proper vision and
goals becomes easy to manage the activities while developing a project. However apart from
these skills it becomes essential for the project leader to listen to their team mates. This will help
in bringing innovative ideas while developing the project. Thus maintaining a proper relation
with employees and stakeholders will ensure that the project is completed with proper success.

effectively within the time. Decision making process helps in proper management of the project.
Proper decision making will help in managing the task so that they can ensure better completion
of the project within the time. Decision making becomes important aspect at the time of critical
situation. A good leader needs to possess a positive attitude towards the project so that they can
aim at completing the task. These qualities will eventually help the project manager to complete
project effectively within the given deadline.
Project budgeting and planning is another important aspect for project management that
is needed to be completed effectively so that it can meet the needs of clients effectively. The
importance of project budgeting is that it helps stakeholders about the funding that is needed for
completing the project. This helps in addressing the people, materials and budget that us needed
for completing the project successfully without error. Apart from this one of the main reason
behind having proper project budgeting is that it helps the project managers and project team
members to complete the project by sticking with the budget. While developing a project it
becomes essential to ensure that the project is being developed by following the project budget.
This is mainly achieved by working based on the cost baseline. The major components that are
analyzed throughout the module that will help in managing the budget are activity cost estimates,
basis of estimates, scope baseline, resource calendars, contracts and project schedule. After
analyzing the main benefits it can be stated that with the help of pro[per project planning it will
become easy to manage the activities that is going to be executed within the project. The main
benefits that comes along with proper project planning includes proper risk assessment plan,
helps in clearing the objective, sets a milestone for completing the project. In addition to this
resource allocation needs to be done effectively at the time of project planning so that it becomes
easy to understand the basic requirements for the project. This will help in addressing the main

requirements. Once the requirements get analyzed effectively it becomes easy to manage the
project plan. Moreover task dependencies needs to be set effectively so that it can get executed
effectively without any issues. In project management each tasks is dependent on its previous
task, hence it becomes essential to maintain proper predecessors so that the project flow can be
maintained throughout the project development process. The main reason behind having a proper
project planning is that it helps the project to complete each activity within the time se by project
manager. After analyzing the main components I have learnt that for having a project planning it
is important to identify the stakeholders need, to analyze proper project objective, and to provide
proper responsibility towards the team members. This will help in completing the project within
time without any lack.
Apart from all this project execution phase plays an important role as it aims at executing
the project by following the timeline and budget prepared by the project members. the project
execution leads to producing the proper project deliverables, change management documents,
identification of the activities that are needed to be done and the measurement of project
activities. The project deliverables are further tested by the developing team and once the team
gets satisfied than it is expected and further approved by the team managers. The measurement
of project activities includes performance off the baseline and planning the project accordingly.
The main aim behind identification of the activities is to keep proper track on the project
planning so that each activity can be analyzed properly. The main reason behind having proper
control over the project is that it helps in ensuring better control over the project. The main
elements of project control include tracking the cost and time, prioritizing the requirements and
handling proper contingencies throughout the projects. Integrated project management is
referred to the concept of collection of processes that help in ensuring all elements within the

project are being properly coordinated. This helps in managing and establishing proper control
over the relevant stakeholders and the resources that are associated with the project. After going
through all the modules I can state that before developing a project it becomes essential to ensure
that the proper project planning is made so that it can achieve the target set by the customers.
Project management technology is basically referred to the concept that helps in managing the
project without facing any major issues. With the help of integrated project management it
becomes easy to coordinate each component effectively. This includes setting proper objective
for the purpose of meeting the target. Thus it can be stated that this project management module
has helped me to learn about the major concepts associated with the development of project.
Proper project management skills will help in completing the project within time by following
the budget. Moreover there is a high need to implement proper leadership qualities within the
project manager so that they can have proper control over the project management team. This
will help in finishing the project within the deadline. Hence I can state that this module has
helped me to understand the core concept related to project management.
