REFLECTION
By having improved focus on group astringent, I have acknowledged about number of
factors that are beneficial for my future. Assignment was on understanding of organizational
behaviour so, it has provided me learning with respect to methods that are essential for the
management of groups, individuals and processes. I have also considered TV show called “The
Office” as a critical aspect in order to understand organizational behaviour more effectively.
During participation in group assignment, I used to have conversation with other
members by using different kinds of communication tools. Classification can be like email,
direct communication, social media and phone calls. It has developed adequate skills regarding
communication which is beneficial to have interaction with the members in an appropriate
manner (Bolden, 2014). Along with this, my interpersonal skills have also developed by having
an assistance of communication tools. In addition to this, I have also gained knowledge about the
organization behaviour which made me understand that it is the best way to acquire effective and
efficient progress.
It has been noticed by me that the concept of motivation also provides benefit to
organization because it assists in operational activities. Vroom expectancy theory of motivation
has a great impact on the employee’s performance. During evaluation of TV show, I have
noticed that avoidance of personal performance is one of the critical issues that may affect the
performance. It affects the overall development in a negative manner. Organizational behaviour
analysis has made me understand that the managers are accountable to accomplish firm’s set
goals. In TV show, it has been indicated that David was not worried about the organization’s
performance (Griffin and Moorhead, 2009). He was more focused towards unrealistic aspects
which is not a professional managerial characteristic. It has provided me information that in
order to acquire better opportunities, it is significant for me to make sure that I am concerned
about professional managerial characteristics. It means that I must consider motivation and
organizational needs as a critical aspect for sustainable development.
I have also witnessed that there are number of tools that are being adopted by businesses
to enhance the level of motivation of workforce. Internal and external rewards can be provided as
per the key standards of motivation system. It means that I must gather proper knowledge about
internal and external rewards for long term sustainability. I have also noticed that proper support
