ESSAY
Adult nursing is referred to be a responsibility of taking care of adult patients who are
suffering from several number of diseases. This signifies a variety of health related conditions
that range from minor to major illnesses or injuries starting from acute to long term or chronic
ailments. An adult nurse is hereby known to play a vital role in taking care of such patients with
assistance of apt care plans and conducting processes to analyze the actual requirements of
patients and fulfil the same. It necessitates the nurses to focus upon the recovery of patients by
concentrating more on their actual requirements rather than their ailed state. For this purpose,
they are often required to work in multidisciplinary groups with a main agenda of contacting the
patients. It is basically to provide a continual care to the patients by together contacting their
families with a special concern of those who are dealing with any chronic sickness and
approaching the hospital for regular treatments.
I aspire to take a course in this particular field of Adult nursing soon after my top up in
business and management. This is due to my keen interest in serving others and helping people
in every possible way. I thoroughly enjoy interacting with residents by talking to them and taking
care of their needs. By which, I also started developing a likely relationship with them in terms
of fulfilling their identified needs. This duly attracted me more towards the profession of nursing
where I aspire to become a successful business minded nurse who can easily promote a healthy
change for the benefit of patients with existing skills of leadership. My study experience has also
taught me to work effectively in teams with others in a professional way. I together started
investigating more on this field of Adult nursing that depicted yet another interesting fact of
achieving success in this profession. It was in context of the human nature that one needs to
possess to apply for this post of adult nurse.
This signifies that an adult nurse is required to be enough practical and compassionate by
nature to duly enjoy the work of caring for others and improving the quality of patient’s life.
From this fact, I acknowledged similar traits in myself that pushed me even more to apply for
this course. Also, nursing is referred to give a lifetime experience of learning where it is a
vocational career that I would definitely like to pursue as a serious goal and profession in my
life. This professional degree together entails several number of benefits and on whose basis, I
have chosen to dedicate 3 full years of my life. This is a big decision that I am going to take for
my future and where I together believe to possess a real and firm understanding of nursing. I

This is mainly due to my acquired study experiences that have greatly enabled me to stay
confident despite of facing various academic challenges that I could face after enrolling for this
course. I am thoroughly motivated to undertake this curriculum and perform in the best possible
manner. I believe to have that strength and fidelity towards it and also appreciate the academic
demands and rigors that will be required to do well in this course. It is however reinforced by my
hope of getting support from my enthusiasm to study more and excel in this career in the future.
Apart from this, I have together acknowledged several other benefits of nursing that involved a
strong personal satisfaction where nursing is amongst the most respected field. Nurses depict a
significant link between the doctors and the patients. Also, handling different situations in
different manner is a chief forte of nurses that makes them feel more rewarding. Along with
which, there together exists shortage of nurses in the globe.
It is mainly in accordance to the Bureau of labor statistics who anticipates a major shortfall
of near about 800, 000 nurses by the end of 2020. However, the population on other hand is
expected to live much longer than the earlier circumstances and the world is expecting to have
more medical services and care. As a result, to which, the hospital settings are also looking to
enhance their medical facilities by together looking to hire more number of nurses to serve the
users in a suitable manner. I also found it to be a more flexible job where one can enjoy a mobile
career and consider working in several number of locations. There together exist many nursing
specialisms that can be attained after joining this course of Adult nursing. This leads to earn a
high paid salary by together getting a chance of working in distinct patient’s populations.
It proves great graduate prospects for nursing students where I also feel it to be an exciting
career ahead. It is mainly due to its diversified outlook where nursing profession can be tailored
in accordance to the needs and future prospects of the chosen area. In addition to my above
specified expectations from this field of nursing, I am keenly interested in joining this course to
show my compassion and support to the diversified needs of the individuals and take care of
their all minor to major requirements. I am thankful to my gained study experience in the field of
business and management where I mostly worked in teams and presented myself a competent
member in the group and actively took part in resolving almost all sort of challenges faced by us.
Herein, I used my problem solving skills to stay decisive in the overall course of action. I have

By which, I have learned the importance of such effective skills of communication and
teamwork for smoothly working in a care home. Moreover, I have also endeavored
acknowledging the concepts in nursing management to understand it’s link with that to my top
up course of business and management. In which, I came across the professional attitude
required to be maintained by a nursing manger. This is however with a special concern of
influencing the quality of the care that is being provisioned to the patients in a positive manner.
In which, a peaceful mind of staff members plays yet another significant role and is largely
affected by an efficient nursing manager. I hereby aspire to achieve a similar position in this field
and believe to apply these managerial concepts in an effective way. Beside this, I together
acknowledged another requisite trait of successful nursing managers who must possess certain
business skills apart from their clinical aptitudes. This involves effective skills of
communication, resource management, team building and conflict management, etc. With this
knowledge and my desire to grow my career in the field of healthcare, I believe to gain a true
understanding of the experiences acquired by the nurses to fulfill their responsibilities in a
trustworthy manner, despite of facing huge number of challenges. Being passionate about
understanding people and their needs and having a keen interest in the field of science and
technology where I am keen to learn its assistance in recovering people by aiding into their
treatment that drives me to stay intact in this profession of nursing.

help me in provisioning an effective care to people to fulfill their exact needs. In spare time, I
