Personal Statement

PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am a hardworking and passionate being who always believe in learning. For me, learning is
a never ending process. I am staying in United Kingdom for last three years. I came to UK to
build my career and started a job but later realised that I must hold a degree as well so I finished
my HND course from UKCBC college. In these two years, I have gained knowledge about
business and it environment along with its various aspects such as business law, marketing
essentials and Organisational behaviour which helped me to understand what it takes to be in a
professional world and how can an individual can perform well in an organisation.
After two interesting years at UKCBC, I realised that I should study further so that I gain
strategic knowledge about business world. My learning journey in UKCBC inspired me to do
something on my own. Currently, I am working in Gist Limited which is a logistics company. I
am successfully working in this company but future aspirations are to grow and work at a higher
level. My future goals are concerned me to work at a higher level and start some business on my
own. To fulfil my aspirations, it is important to have a Top-Up year degree.
My two year course degree at UKCBC involved various modules which helped me to
develop my abilities. It has made me believe that by analysing environment of a business, any
organisation can be developed. My study has helped me shape my personality of a professional
being. I have experienced some interesting lectures which resultant to gain my interest in Human
resource and their behaviours in an organisation. According to me the knowledge which I have
gained in this two years will help a lot in my Top Up year which involves Strategic Human
Resource Management module. It is important to have a base knowledge of a module before
studying it and my two years course of HND in UKCBC has provided me that base knowledge
for my Top Up year.
My future plans are to work at a higher profile and to start my own business. Once I
complete my Top Up year in UKCBC, I will look forward to run a business related to logistics
and managing supply chain for various clients. Currently, my job at Gist Limited is going well
but there is a lack of satisfaction which I face working for some other company. I want to gain a
higher degree so that I can work at a higher profile and I am also keen to open my approach to
start my own business.
