PERSONAL STATEMENT
Personal Statement about the University
University College London¸ was established in the year around 1826 with the moto
to provide education to every student regardless of their religion. Due to its renowned
approach towards studies I want to get enrolled in this university. However, there are many
other reasons also for doing my business management from University College London. First
and foremost is the facilities provided for the subject of my choice. Emphasising on course
work along with providing some practical knowledge will be helpful for conducting my
activities in near future. Therefore, the university will provide with a good opportunity to
closely work with some business experts, and give leverage to students like us in exploring
the unexplored aspects of business.
Why you want to study the subject and why should university choose you
For every nation, if they want to increase their economy it is extremely important that
they provide platforms to company from where they can grow their businesses. The process
of business can be complex according to the nature of the company, but the way a company
adopts for handing their business operations determine the success parameters of the
company. Business includes various kinds of activities and can be said that, to an individual
business provides options served on a platter selecting the best is the choice of the particular
individual. Business management or managing business is one such activity from the platter.
Its prime function is to monitor the proper functioning of business whether all the actions are
being performed in a particular manner or not. Supervision and administration of finance,
checking different aspects of marketing, actions pertaining to customers are some of the
activities which is performed under business management. The reason behind choosing this
course is because I genuinely enjoy and feel motivated to learn about the subject that is
capable of managing different tasks. This course will make me reach to abundance of skills
from which I can get the maximum values.
Considering the importance of business management for future activities, I am
seeking to take admission in one of the well-known universities in United Kingdom i.e.,
University College London. However, there will be many thing that I will get from the
university, but there is a question what I will give to the university in return. As an
enthusiastic person, I think I would be able to contribute a lot in different kinds of activities. I
am good in giving presentations with the help of preparing fascinating handouts. So, I think it

will be very effective in doing work when it comes to performing in group. Moreover, my
experience in different field of job has taught me about the ways through which we can get
out from challenges very easily without compromising the work. In the next paragraph, I will
be discussing about my work experience in order to make you determine why your university
should accept my admission.
Type of student I am
Along with this, I am a well presented, diplomatic, mature and hardworking
individual as I believe that this type of experience is effective and valuable for university. For
an example, if University organize any kind of event and program as it required to hire an
individual who will manage each and every activity of events. As stated above that I am a
well presented and also have knowledge to represent the information that university want.
This can be also beneficial for university to make their event more successful and efficient as
well.
Previous professional/educational experience related to the course
From the past work life experience, I have excelled in management, one-on-one
customers interaction, accountability in term of taking responsibilities. These experiences
will be helpful in taking admission in university because it also contributes in improving my
abilities and at the same time, I will also give my best to university. When I talked about my
maturity and hand working as I have ability to do multiple tasks and also tries to find new and
innovative ways to completing the task activities provided by others. As, I have also mastered
in making decision by analysing each and every situation. Along with this, I have strong
background in customers experience that gained by working as a sales and service advisor in
order to lead vehicle main dealership. Furthermore, some other experience has also included
as I have very calm person and have patience in managing working activities with team. It
may reduce the chances of creating issues in performing working activities. As, I will provide
more assistance to university in improving their abilities to complete every task and activities.
All the personal and professional working experience help me in attaining career growth and
also provide me opportunities in getting admission in reputed university.
Despite my work experience, I am good in my academic platform as well. While
attending my school and college my involvement and commitment towards various activities
were very crucial. I took part in various sports activities, associated with clubs, and took part
in different kinds of extracurricular activities. For example, while attending my high school, I

was a part of management club therefore, arranging various activities was one of the biggest
responsibilities. My interest towards management developed a sense of pursuing my career in
business management. I feel like my acquired knowledge from school as well as working
experience will help in developing the standard of the company. I feel like my responsibility
towards business and its activities will inspire other. It will create an urge of doing something
which is innovative in my fellow course mates. With both growth and human factor
approach, I think I will be able to contribute and take responsibility for the work I will do.
For example, when I was working in ‘Expert Logistic’, my duty was to ensure that crew
members who were late in providing services to customers make a call and apologise to
customers. As a whole, I would not say that because I am better than other students or I have
good experience of work you should offer me a place. But what I believe that providing me
with the opportunity to study in your university will enhance my existing knowledge and
even more I will be privileged to study new things from the elite professors of your
university. Therefore, if I get a change to study in your university then after the completion of
my business management course, I see myself, in holding a position of a manager in a
renowned company where my degree and all my experience fits within.
