Personal statement on adult nursing
I believe adult nursing plays an important role in individuals’ lives. I have been admiring
to work in industry since my A level education. I admire to be like people who work for the lives
of other people. I have a very strong desire to work in the health and social care industry to help
people get well with their health. My dreams and happiness is to make positive impacts on the
lives of people and I believe adult nursing will be my best course. I have taken time to decide
which job career suits me better and realized that my passion lies in health and social care
industry. I have now dedicated myself to acquire all the relevant skills and knowledge to be able
to achieve this. I have total faith that I can do well in any job career that involves health and
social care. I do believe that if I do well in this course, I will be able to use the knowledge gain to
help other people. I think this will be total satisfaction to my desires and giving back to the
community.
During my leisure time, I play football and go to the cinema with my friends.
Socialization helps me make new friends every day and meet new individuals in my life. I am
very social person and this will help me utilize the skills in my professional adult nursing. In
addition, I am so concerned about my fitness and my health in general. I think this will give me
another opportunity to keep myself fit. I understand that there are so many challenges in
university but I am ready to endure them. My job career aspiration is to be an adult nurse
because this will improve my job demands. I have taken this decision to study adult nursing at
university after careful evaluation of my previous academic progress. My choice for this degree
in adult nursing has been evaluated deeply and I believe I have made the right decision. I have
strong believed that I will do well in the health care industry. I am fully prepared for the
challenges ahead regardless of how challenging will be. I think through my positive attitude

towards this will reflect in the study and even in my job career. I have been working too hard to
gain all the skills and knowledge in the field of health and social care. I will be happy once given
a chance to turn my ambitions to real caring of the people.
I can do better in this industry to bringing positive impact on people’s lives. Gaining
skills in this field will allow me to perform better in serving the people. I think I will make
greater impacts in the lives of my patients in due future. I have shown a high level of
competency in this field through my excellent performance in subjects related to adult nursing. I
have been taking biology, chemistry, and mathematics in my A level and I believe through this, I
will be fully equipped to start the course. In addition, I have been so lucky to undergo much
training to gain more skills in adult nursing. I have been trained in courses such as Food hygiene
and basic life-supporting practices.
More importantly, I am trained in Information Technology. This will offer me the best
capacity to handle advanced technology devices in this industry. Information technology is the
foundation in adult nursing. It will enable me to work with capacity in my undergraduate course
and even in my future career. Gaining skills related to my field of interest will prepare me to
perform better in adult nursing job. In fact, putting this into practice will allow me to prove my
capacity and competency in adult nursing. I believe my success in this course is a result of my
previous performance in my A level. It is not only high performance in my previous academic
level but also my ambition and determination in this. This has increased my confidence to get
into the course because I am sure I will do it better. I think pursuing this course at university will
be the best decision I have ever made in my life. I will definitely work so hard to see my dreams
reality.
