PERSONAL SWOT ANALYSIS
Strength:
The first strength that I possess is flexibility. It is the ability to transit between task and
thereby learn new duties and ideas. I take the skill as strength because it is important for all
workers to have a willingness to learn and try new creative ideas in their work. This helps to
enhance their own enthusiasm and to do the work in a better way and at a fast pace1. Another
strength that I possess is my communication skill. I am a good listener and I provide feedback
and the receive feedback in an open minded way. As a result I will be perceived positively
by my fellow workers and can develop strong bonds which in turn will increase the
productivity of our team and will reduce miscommunication.
Weakness
The biggest weakness that I possess is my lack of ability to multitask. Multitasking is
important in the recent generation to handle huge piles of work with strategic planning and
logical proceeding. Whenever I find that a huge amount of work has piled up, I tend to
become nervous and procrastinate. As a result the quality of work produced at the end is
compromised2. Moreover I also lack social skills which are one of the most important
components of emotional intelligence. As I lack social skills, I cannot understand the feelings
of my co-workers and neither I am able to exhibit my feelings to them. Moreover my lack of

empathy is also taken in a negative sense by my co-workers as they feel that I am rude and
impolite and cannot be trusted as a friend.
Opportunities:
The best opportunity that I can have is to utilise my creative skills and be an efficient and
innovative leader. By using this creative skill I can develop interest among my team members
to think outside of the traditional ways of completing a task and provide their own thinking
and suggestions to implement a more innovative outlook towards their work. These would
help them to cut out their boredom and align with the organisational goal effectively. As I am
quite successful with my communication skills I can have the opportunity to lead my team as
well as be selected by my employer to face new clients to influence them for good deal. I can
convince others easily and can make out my point successfully without any ambiguity. I can
also negotiate better. All this will provide me an opportunity to crack new deals with foreign
clients as well as new dealers which will increase the productivity of the company and
thereby I might be selected by my employer as an important employee of the company3.

Threats:
Due to lack of social skills and empathy, i may be taken negatively by my fellow mates for
which i may suffer from depression. They may not perceive me as a friend and may not be be
open minded with me. They may not help me as well in my difficult times which might affect
my career and productivity. Moreover my procrastinating nature may also harm my career as
poor quality work will never be entertained by my employer for which i may be terminated or
criticised. Moreover I am also quite biased towards other culture and do not have proper
knowledge of behaving with people from other cultures. This can be a threat as I may never
get employed in a global company due to my poor intercultural skills4.
