Introduction:
Reflection is the practice that used by individual to share own knowledge and
experience with others. As I attended many sessions on weekly basis that helped to
developed understanding and experience about specific topic. I was studying in
London University for completing diploma in business and bring changes that
supported to develop the understanding and managing activities (Han, Ellis, Han,
and Ellis, 2020). I gained different knowledge and skills from the sessions. I have
received a project from my tutor which I completed by using different skills and
abilities to work. Looking towards all skills personal development plan is prepared by
me that have brought improvements in skills and abilities.
The Learning Outcomes for this module are as follows:
LO1: To identify and use different styles and means of communication within
academic and formal contexts
LO2: To demonstrate common study skills within a subject specific context
LO3: To identify academic sources appropriate to the given task
Week 1

develop these skills.
In the learning session we have discussed about creativity and types of courses in which anyone
can enter and gain knowledge. I understood that creativity is important for each individual and
business concern which is used to introduce something new and attractive that will influence
number of people and supports to develop understanding. I can develop this skill by conducting
environment and market analysis that support me improve the creativity skills in different area.
The first week lecture has improved my creativity and innovating skills by bringing something new.
This could be opportunity for me to set my own business or get employment.
Week 2

develop these skills.
While studying in University the week 2 session was about business issues such as increasing
employee turnover at the workplace that directly affect the working of organization. Herein, I
learnt that how to understand the business issue and resolve. I understood that strategy and pre-
planning is most important for business concern which could be used to bring change and solving
business issues. For this, there is need to have strategic skills which can be used to formulate
effective plans and manage functions. I developed strategic and planning skills by sharing issues
with indulge member and gaining knowledge about particular issues (Naidoo, and Naidoo, 2021).

about types of leadership such as participative, directive, democratic and behavioural. To start any
work and managing multiple task leadership is needed to have that can help to operate the
business regularly. I could develop leadership by understanding the organizational goals and
leading people who is involved in particular project. We have discussed that without leadership it
will be challenging for me to gets work done at right time.

develop these skills.
In session 4 of weekly lecture we have discussed about note taking activity that states note taking
is important aspects which should be used by students while giving presentation. This is needed
because there is change to forget what should I say or involve in presentation. To prepare notes
and using key words in notes could be helpful for me to give presentation and influencing others.
This can help to manage the all working and task. To improve note taking skills there is no need to
write each word, use symbols and abbreviations, deciding what is important and be consistent
that can help to improve note taking skills (Marttinen, Daum, Banville, and Fredrick, 2020).
Week 5

The weekly lecture 5 was about ICT skills which is running rapidly while running the business and
studying any degree courses. ICT refers to information and communication technology that uses
to bring changes in existing work. This became most important for each individual to have ICT
skills as it helps to organize the workload, streamline the process and managing digital
information. To improve ICT skills, I started to enter in computer courses, focusing on learning and
regular practice that could help me to develop ICT skills and used in attaining future goals within
time period (. Decker, 2020).

Maslow theory, competency theory, expectancy theory, and incentive theory that can help me to
become a successful business person and leader at workplace. I planned to develop my
motivational skills by continuing reviewing towards employee’s needs and creating good working
environment that will help to influence me and people to work for long period and complete
organizational goals (. Alfawaire, and Atan, 2021).

In weekly session 8 we have discussed about different types of business functions such as
marketing, finance, HRM, sales and IT which are handling by professional and experienced
candidates. These all based on feedback and reviewing outcomes that arises while managing the
business. We all wants to improve our skills in such functions so that business will manage by
focusing over resources and abilities. I formulated plans to develop business function skills by
keeping records of all department and taking part in each one activity that supported me to get
future employment opportunity (DeVargas, and Stormshak, 2020).

The session 9 cover discussion about Human resource management strategies and problem
solving aspects which is important to managing the business effectively. The HRM strategies are
recruitment & selection, training & development, workforce planning, and employee engagement
which is important to fill vacant position and develop understanding to getting work done. To use
recruitment and selection strategy HR conduct interview round and provide training programme
that can help to improve organizational working. I have developed HRM skills by knowing all HRM
policies, listening issue of staff and satisfying them by providing benefits which could help to
accept the changes and develop organizational performance (Vučeković, Medić, and Marković,
2020).

buying decision. If customers are not satisfied, then it will be challenging for organization to run
their business. I could improve my customer service skills by focusing over needs of customers
and providing them all information which they want that will help to develop skills and get future
employment skills (Alserhan, and Shbail, 2020).
