INTRODUCTION
The below report explores the self-analysis of an individual working in Tesco. It reflects
the capabilities of him as a professional manager and most importantly as a leader (Armstrong,
2016). The report acts as a recorded reflection of the capabilities and the career progression.
SELF ANALYSIS
PROJECT 1 – Personality Insight
The equalitarian score explains that I am a non authoritarian and I do not aim to control
other people or situations. This act as both my strength and weakness. The score says that while
working in the organisation or acting as a leader I often tend to treat individuals equally. It is
important for me to understand judging people by their qualities and understanding their
potential as being a leader of a manager. If I kept judging everyone equally, it can become hard
for me to find out the appropriate people for the required job roles. It is important for a leader to
determine and be aware about the qualities of the employees qualities. It can help me to reach
and ensure better growth and development and ensure a better team development as well.
PROJECT 2 – Introductory profile indicator
My introductory profile indicator shows that my assertiveness is low. In which I hold the
qualities of being outgoing, sociable, directive, taking the lead, making decisions, being tough
minded and can perform a role of manager or good at a sales job. It is important for me to be
extrovert. The quality of being extrovert is going to allow me to speak to a number of people in
outside situations and understand them as well. It is going to help me in reaching better growth
and development and would ensure that I am able to understand others feeling well. The above
mentioned strengths explore that I am a sociable person, which provides me enough power to be
with other persons and become part of different situations. It is going to help me in becoming a
better leader and a manager because both of these job roles require me to be more sociable. The
low levels of empathy according to the results suggests that I can be good as a manager at sales
job. This can help me to reach new level of success and ensure that desired goals and objectives
are being achieved. I can be good at selling my ideas to other different organizations acting as a
leader and ensure that desired goals are being achieved.
The results show that my imagination levels are high and I am a conceptual structured
thinker who enjoys setting up and working within systems (Bolden, 2016). Along with it, I am
creative and focused and follow things through. This is one of the best strengths that I am

having. As being a leader, it is important for me to being creative in order to set vision for the
organisation or the department I am a part of. Creative thinking is one of the major requirement
of a manager or a leader. It can help me to take my organisation to new level of success and
ensure that I am achieving the desired growth. The quality of being focused is going to allow me
to be more growth oriented and ensure that desired growth is being achieved. It is one of the
biggest requirement of mine in order to become a leader and a successful manager.
The score of my resilience is low. It showcases that I am somewhat anxious and becomes
keyed up but keeps my feelings under control. It is one of the biggest weakness that I am having
in my personality. In order to be a good leader and a manager, it is important for me to be
relaxed and calm under pressure (Renz, 2016). I cannot stay anxious in situations which require
me to be calm. The anxious nature of mine can make me face troubles related to growth and
development, along with I would not be able to make required decisions at the time when
needed. It is important for me to develop a calm attitude and ensure that I am very much in order
to achieve required success and growth and allow better decision making to take place.
My vigor score is low as well. It shows that I am active, energetic, enjoy participating but
does not have the need to win at all costs. I try to put energy into short-term goals and lack long-
term ambitions. This can make it difficult for me to be a good leader and a manager in the
organisation. In order to become an effective leader and a manager I require a vigor of an
ambitious person and it is important for me to be energetic as well. I need to be competitive and
has to be decisive and challenge accepting. These qualities can help me to become a good leader
and would allow me to reach new level of growth and development. Along with it, this will help
me in developing myself as a better individual as well.
PROJECT 3 – Personal Style Inventory
The results of personal style inventory showcases that I am practical, realistic and is
having a natural head for business or mechanics. It also shows that I am not interested in the
subjects which I see no use for, but can apply themselves when it is necessary. It can help me in
reaching my goals and ensure that I am achieving the organizational goals and objectives. It is
important for me to ensure that I am having a good role in overall management and leadership
also, I am able to achieve required set of growth and development (Solomon, Costea and Nita,
2016). The qualities of leadership which I need to develop in myself include the characteristic of
