As per the result, my preferred style is Authentic Blue; my secondary style is
resourceful orange; my third style is Inquiring Green and lastly, most pale style is
Organized Gold.
Definition- Preferred style Authentic Blue
People who prefer Authentic Blue color are future oriented (Bakker and Iris). They
are very much accepted towards change and have liking for new ideas mainly those which are
associated to people. These people are very optimistic; they are more concentrated on
focusing on the bigger picture than detailing about the day-to-day living. Blue recommend
serenity as well as deepness of feelings (Elliot et al.). These people are genuine and never try
to pretend something, which they are not because they find such acts stressful. They are not at
all bothered regarding their social positions rather they just want to be accepted for who they
are. They are believer of promoting their as well as other’s personal growth and thus, guides
others so that they can learn. As teenagers, people who like this color are more inclined
towards creative ideas where in adulthood they are warm as well as caring towards other
people. However, as life partners they are always conscious of their partner’s needs and can
go to any extent to gratify those needs.

Recently in my workplace, my team had to take a decision regarding a complicated
assignment. I have dealt with these kinds of situations earlier and have the idea of solutions,
which might solve this. However, one of my teammate proposed a new kind of approach to
deal with this situation. Though accepting his solution can be risky as well because this way I

gave everyone a chance to learn from it.
Therefore, I feel that this example clearly connects with my preferred color style,
which is authentic blue because people who prefers this color are mainly optimistic as well as
concentrate better on everyone else so that they get the prospect to build up their full
potential. Thus, I feel my preferred style accurately defines my personality as I focus in
personal development of me and my team. However, I feel I am always positive about life
situations rather than being stressed with small issues, I focus more on the larger picture.
Conflict and Color Preference
A conflict that I remember raised in my workplace with the human resource manager
that contributed to a misunderstanding is because the manager has a more logical viewpoint
regarding an issue where he was totally ignoring any kind of feeling associated with the
situation. However, my way of thinking is different as I think rules can be amended a little
when required so that every can get a fair chance to develop themselves. Therefore, from this
experience it can be said that the Manager is inclined towards having the most preferred color
as inquiring green for which his personality is more towards knowledge which they think is
the ultimate power. Therefore, they give more emphasis towards logical answers than their
ways being value based. Thus, facing a similar situation in future I would like to deal with
logic which will also include a learning opportunity for all.
