PERSONALITY TEST
Part one: comparison of my results with other two person who evaluated me and the
Johari test.
Emotional intelligence refers to the ability or the capacity to be aware of one’s own
emotion. According to my friend (Mr.X), I have high self-awareness skills but my
relationship management is quite poor. However, I am average in self-management and
social-awareness skills. Another friend of mine (Mr.Y), also gave the test and suggested that I
have high social awareness skills with minimum self-management and relationship
management ability. I did this same test where I got the result, which suggests that my
relationship management skills are quite low along with my social awareness skills. Self-
awareness and self-management are in average. Johari window, which consists of four
region, namely open/ free area, blind area, hidden area and unknown area. According to
this analysis, my unexplored or hidden area is the relationship management. The abilities
are still in the grey area of behavioural attributes. This is because these skills are
underestimated and are rarely explored mostly due to lack of opportunities. The third
window of Johari model refers to the hidden areas, the subject knows these areas but it
remains hidden to others. The hidden part stores the knowledge and is not able to
communicate with others due to various reasons like fears, sensitivities, or manipulative
intentions. According to the data, available, social awareness is something, which will fall
under the window of Johari model. This is because I am aware of my empathy, I also have
sufficient organizational skills along with my service orientation but I am not able to
communicate it with others, productively. The second window of Johrai model refers to the
“blind self” or “blind area” refers to area which not known by the person himself but others
are quite aware of it. In order to understand this area it is important to collect the feedback of
the others person so that social-awareness increases successfully. According to the data,
received self-awareness in my personality, is quite high. Self-awareness comprises of three

competencies, which are emotional awareness, accuracy of the assessment and the self-
confidence. These attributes are sufficiently explored and contributes to a large portion of my
identity formation. The last but not the least the first window is the “open self/ area” or the
free or public area. This section refers to those feelings or the group also knows behaviour,
which are known to the person himself or herself and it. The attributes like being confident
and being self-reflective is something, which is known to me as well as the person who are
surrounding me.
Part two: analysis of my strength and weaknesses
The shades of my personality contains both the strength and weaknesses. However
according to the assessment above the strengths, which I have, are my self- awareness that
includes my self-confidence and myself reflective nature. It is very important to understand
that self- awareness being the core of emotional intelligence is in a position to regulate the
emotional intelligence level. Thus, the strengths of my personality lies in the fact of my high
level of self-awareness. However, the major weakness is my inability to maintain
relationships. This is because I did not have enough chance to explore them because as my
group interaction has been in minimal level. The social awareness is yet to be communicated
with to others although I have made sufficient progress in this level. I am able to comprehend
the organizational currents thus I have the organizational awareness. I am also able to
understand that the customer requirement but it is again important to say that these activities
are not carried without faltering. It is through my experiences that I am learning it. There is
lot of ambivalence regarding my position of self-management because the self-control that
causes in the monitoring of the disruptive emotions and impulses keeps on fluctuating.
However, the transparencies regarding the integrity and attitudinal virtue are maintained in
the best level possible. This kind of attitude reflects my motivation of being ambitious which
is concerned with both meeting my internal standards of excellence and my readiness to seize

the opportunity. Therefore, self-management is something, which can be my strength and
also be my weakness because of my lack of self-control. The weakest element of my
personality is my relationship management, because I did not get enough opportunity to
explore these potential areas. I have the potential of being the catalyst of change but due to
my lack of leadership vision I am unable explore this areas. Moreover, in my day-to-day life
these areas do not demand regularised revision.
Part three: reflect on the competencies that I should develop as a global citizen
As a global citizen, I should be able to identify myself with the changes that are
emerging in the world community. Thus, I need to have that potential of taking personal
decisions with being responsible enough. This quality is important because the whenever
there is violation of rights one must be able to voice against the injustice regardless of the
location. From this notion, the idea of global citizenship emerges, where the rights and the
civic responsibilities atone to the whole world philosophies ad sensibilities rather than as
citizen of a particular place.
As my self-awareness is my strength, I can constantly negotiate with myself for being
more adaptive and flexible with the changing environment. The skills regarding my self-
management and social-awareness are yet to mature. However, people know most of the
skills in this genre and these qualities have become part of identity. This is how I gain self-
autonomy and also the self-esteem that keeps me boosted foe action of everyday life. The
most legible and my weakest section is the genre of relationship management. This is because
I have not explored these areas earlier. However, it is important to understand that
relationship management has the potential of opening the vistas of opportunities. This is
because under this genre I can effectively understand to monitor the group behaviour and can
also increase my popularity within the group. Being liked by people around or being able to
redress the conflict in a group will help me to participate as a global citizen. Thus I have to

engages myself into more outgoing activities where group participation is involved so that I
can explore the dimension of the potential ability group behaviour has. Inculcating this kind
of behaviour will provide me the essence through which I can understand the importance of
being responsible while taking my own decision. In this way, I can also foster my emotional
attributes and thus can act according to the need of the hour. In this way my latent skills or
the emotions in the dormant stage will be nurtured and I can learn to address the group
emotions properly. When my self-awareness will increase and when I can process my
thoughts independently I will be able to discover my hidden latent and thus effectively
address my weakness. Self-awareness, self-management, and social awareness will be able to
unleash my localised potential but relationship management can foster the role that is
globally accepted.
