Reflection
Reflective thinking refers to not only write future plans or what has done in the past. It
means to understand why you did and why it was important. It is essential to understand the
reason behind why you perform the activity. It is important for me to develop reflective thinking
as it helps in understanding situation better and identify its consequences. It means that one
should write down skills that are to be improved and make plans and strategies to improve. Only
writing down things is not the aim. Main purpose of reflective thinking is to understand certain
points. Reflective thinking can be improved by thinking alternative options that are available to
improve skills, use theories as evidence.
I want to improve my reflective thinking as I want to improve my skills for my future
career growth. All the skills are necessary for my future as in the organisation all skills are
required. When company recruit and select candidate they check that whether candidate is
having all the necessary skills or not.
When I was studying in college my communication skills were not so good and I feel
nervous talking with new people, then my friends and teachers help me in improving my
communication skill. I am good at writing and I learn things by noting down and practising. I am
working hard to improve my skills and enhancing my strengths. I started interacting with more
people in my college and outside the university, my teachers give me assignments which are I
the form of presentations and this help me in boosting my confidence. If I will improve my skills
then it will help me in future growth as I will not get nervous and interact with everyone
confidently. As I want to become HR manger so communication skills are must for a good
human resource manager. I have to recruit and select best candidates for organisation so if my
skills are not good then how I will take interview of other persons.
My decision making skills and problem solving are not good as I am not able to take
quick decisions. I need time to improve my skills because if I join any organisation and I have to
take quick decisions then I will not able to take and due to which lot of time will be wasted. I am
improving my skill by taking decisions on my own regarding my career. In college my teachers
give me situations and I have to take decisions from point of view of employer in an
organisation. I am also improving my problem solving skill by identifying what is problem and

finding ways how to solve problems quickly. I want to become a good hr manager and for that I
hav eto improve my skills. Manager has to take quick and smart decisions which are beneficial
for organisation. I have to teach my juniors how to take decisions.
I am not able to manage time properly due to which I am not able to submit my
assignments on time which is not good. As I collect information regarding skills that are essential
at workplace one of the skill is time management. I am working on it by making time table and
divide my time according to daily activities. I am trying to complete all my work on time and I
will make this my habit to finish my given work on time. I want to improve my reflective
thinking as I want to improve my skills for my future career growth. All the skills are necessary
for my future as in the organisation all skills are required. When company recruit and select
candidate they check that whether candidate is having all the necessary skills or not. This will
help me in future career growth as in every organisation managers recruit candidate who are
completing their work on time and know how to manage time properly. It is essential to finish
work effectively and efficiently. It is the responsibility of manager to teach others how to
manage time. I have to develop this skill because as a manager I will be role model for my
colleagues for how to manage time properly and complete work on time.
I want to improve my leadership skill because I am not able to give instructions to anyone
cannot motivate or influence others to complete their work. I am improving this skill by taking
more responsibilities like, in my college sports event was organised in which I was leader of a
team. In that sports event I motivate and influence my team members to give their best and there
was proper coordination and interaction between members. Our performance was good and
appreciated by teachers. I am making personal development plans so that I can improve my skills
and I can achieve my future career goals and objectives. I want to improve all my skills within a
year and I will maintain my strengths and work hard to improve my weaknesses (Davies, Curtin
and Robson, 2017). Leadership skills are necessary as I have to give instructions to my juniors
and team members for how to complete the work. In an organisation if I had given work in team
and I am leader then I have to know how to handle situation.
It can be concluded that every individual has strength and weakness. In the above

CONCLUSION OF A REFELCTIVE PROFILE
It can be concluded that, every individual has strengths, weakness, opportunity and
threats. There are many types of learning styles like visual, verbal, social or interpersonal and
physical. These learning styles help people in improving their weakness. An individual should
maintain its strengths and improve its weaknesses. Necessary steps should be taken to improve
weakness and follow it continuously. This will help in better career growth.

Analysis
STRENGTH
My strength is that my adaptability skills. I adopt changes quickly and adjust myself in
every environment. I change myself according to situation. In college there are many situations, I
adjust and face all phases calmly and patiently.
My strength is that I am having good writing skills and good oral presentation skills. I
can write very well on topics related to my subject. I like to read books which help me in giving
new ideas and words for writing. My oral presentation skills is also good as I explain the topics
very good to my classmates.
My another strength is I like to work task or activity in a group or as a team. In college I
organise an event of sports activities. In that event my team leader distributed the work and all
my team members had completed their work on time and also help each other in completing the
work. I trust my team members and coordinate with each other.
WEAKNESSES
My weakness is that I am not having good leadership skills. I am improving my
leadership skills by organising event and working as a leader not as a team member. I am
working on this skill and I am giving instructions to my team members how to complete the
work on time.I am not able to manage my time properly and due to this time management issue
sometimes I am unable to finish my work on time. I am improving this skill as I have prepared

time table in which daily activities are mentioned. I am following the time table and soon I will
able to manage my time properly and complete my work.
OPPORTUNITIES
Opportunities for me to improve my skills is I can join development programmes for
improving my communication skills and interact with more people which help me in boosting
my confidence. I should attend more seminars on decision making. In college sessions are being
organised for improving decision-making skills in which how to take quick and correct decision
in an organisation is explained. To improve leadership skills I have to work in an organisation
for sometime and work as a leader or in college I can participate more in organising events.
THREATS
Threats can be competitors who are performing better than me. Maybe they are working
more hard and they get good job. More talented people are applying for the jobs so they can be
threat for me.

SMART technique refers to the technique which includes specific, measurable,
achievable, realistic and time for achieving goals. This technique helps in achieving the goals
that are set by the individual (Pugh and Broome, 2020).
Specific – It refers to defining goal or objective and analyse some factors. Goals should
be clear and specific and ways should be define to achieve those goals.
Measurable – Performance should be measurable so that it can be identify whether goal
will be achieved or not, way choose to achieve target is correct or any improvement is required.
Achievable – Goals which are set should be achievable or attainable.
Realistic – The goals which are set by individual person should be beneficial or related to
field or interest.
