ABSTRACT
SME project report is related to conducting research and analyzing current performance
of employees that impacts on organization's performance. In this regard, different research
methodologies are determined including primary and secondary data collection. Moreover, data
interpretation is obtained to present actual performance of small business enterprise. However,
techniques to increase working abilities of workers is determined such as by organizing training
and development programs. It influences improving different skills such as communication,
problem solving, customer dealing services and creating positive environment effectively.
Moreover, critical evaluation of research and different tools are obtained for proper management
of business organization. In addition to this, significance of conducting research for generating
different ideas are gained. However, importance of training and development programs to
improve skills of employees and also to encourage them for better work performance is
determined through this assignment.
INTRODUCTION
Personnel management is interrelated with the organization's effectiveness. In this regard,
human resource department of entity evaluates employees' performance and also organizes
development programs to enhance working efficiency of workers. The present research project is
based on understanding the impact of personnel management on Harrod's Ltd. It is a small scale
enterprise retail sector organization of UK which provides clothing for men, women and food
items to their customers. Through this assignment, various data collection methods and action
plans to encourage workers for effective contribution at the workplace are to be determined.
Moreover, learners will be able to understand significance of personnel management to develop

organization's performance. Therefore, performance of employees is to be analyzed through this
assignment. It was important to conduct this research because it is very important to identify the
relationship between performance management and organization effectiveness. Moreover,
different ways to increase working efficiency of employees can be understood through
organizing training and development programs (Andrews and Hampel, 2015). Along with this,
research study is important to acquire critical evaluation of project planning and employees'
contribution for the teamwork. Thus, the present report is able to present role will help readers in

effective team building. It influences positive and peaceful environment of firm and also

different ideas are obtained for enlargement of entity and increasing service qualities of entity at
large scale so that positive environment of firm can create efficiently.

useful for efficiency of team work and presenting positive atmosphere of entity. Moreover,
training and better experienced employees are able to perform their job role in more effective
manner that affects organization's environment.

employees are improved through this process such as communication, understanding and
problem solving. Thus, better performance of employees is able to create group efficiency.

Training and development program is beneficial to enhance working efficiency of
employees effectively. However, different skills are get developed and knowledge is acquired to

social networking sites to increase working efficiency at high level. It is also useful for personal
and professional development of employees by improving skills like handling pressure, problem
solving abilities and different features to be implemented. Therefore, training and development
programs are crucial for increasing working efficiencies and different skills of workers that
impact on organization's effectiveness.

and increasing service qualities of firm at the high level (Ricciardi and et,al., 2015). The research
project is an approach to analyze current performance of employees and further organizing
development plans to increase efficiency of small scale enterprise. In accordance to this,
researcher focuses on collecting information regarding contribution of workers working in a
team. Therefore, on the basis of recognizing gathered data, targets are defined for better
performance and improving various skills of employees which impacts on entity's efficiency.
Research philosophy: - This research project comes under naturalistic philosophy
approach under which data collection and methods are used for observation and interview. It is
useful for conducing qualitative research and study in depth for recognizing current
organization's performance efficiently. However, it includes formulating beliefs and assumptions

exploratory, descriptive and experimental (Gale and et.al., 2013). It is necessary to select one of
the best option out of available alternatives. In respect to this, methods used for the research and
different planning procedure are described. Hence, research design is related to present
information and setting targets to be reached out effectively. Along with this, problem occur at
workplace is recognized and solutions to overcome the issues are designed through this research
project.
Data collection: - Researcher of the organization collects data to analyze employees'
performance and its role model in the organization's effectiveness. Therefore, varieties of ideas
are obtained to move forward related to implementation. In this process, information is gathered
through primary and secondary data collection (Landt and Melville, 2013). Under this, for
primary data collection, information is gained through survey, conducting face to face interview
and door to door questioning. While, on the other hand in secondary data collection, information
are gained through ready material including newspaper, articles and analyzing performance of
organization. Hence, different methods are used for collecting information.
Sampling: - Under this method, analyst selects some respondents randomly and in
particular system (O'Leary, 2013). Thus, through conducting sampling, various ideas and
opinions are entertained in different ways. For the present research, researcher chooses 40
respondents randomly and further collects data to gain current performance of personnel for
organization's position.
Data analysis: - After gaining information, project manager of Harrod's Ltd analyze the
current performance of employees. Therefore, several ideas are generated for further
implementation as well remains able to prepare planning procedure. Thus, critical evaluation of
small business unit and employees' working performance is obtained.

Ethical consideration: - For conducting research, analyst focuses on ethics to gain
information related to the workers' efficiency related to job performance. In this process, he asks
questions very politely and do not discriminate among workers for choosing respondents. In
addition to this, analyst concentrates on all ethics and values for conducting research (Yeh and
et.al., 2014). However, for getting information related to analyzing other competitive entity's
performance through networking sites, analyst does not try to access restricted sites unethically.
Hence, research is conducted ethically and it is ensured that data that is provided by the

of employees. Therefore, 30 respondents out of 40 are determined as satisfied with their job
performance. It is because of facilities provided by organization to implement entity's
performance through good contribution of workers in teamwork. Therefore, it is determined that
employees of firm are satisfied at high level by performing their job role. It is recognized that
effective satisfaction level is interrelated with positive and peaceful environment of firm.
