To
David Hawksworth ,
Hawksworth Restaurant,
Vancouver BC,
Canada
Dear Mr. Hawksworth
I am writing this letter to seek employment in your exceptional restaurant as it is directly related
to my studies in the course of catering and cooking. The restaurant provides a passionate and
progressive environment to work and hence, I am interested to apply my knowledge and experience, to
serve for the restaurant.
Previous Work Experience
After completion of my hotel management back in 2015 from Patiala University, I have served
in the Big Ben restaurant in my home country. I used to work there as cater and server with front end
cashier in busy hours. After that, I joined another restaurant where I worked for a year as a kitchen
helper and cashier. I am a good learner and I am able to make connection with people around me.
These strengths of my personality helped me to learn the basic nuances of serving and managing. The
most important thing I learned from those centrally located restaurants in my home country is managing

busy hours in hectic lunch and dinner hours. Big Ben restaurant helped me to understand the managing
skills and serving (Both at bar and restaurant) skills, whereas the other restaurant helped me to become a
kitchen helper. I helped the chef in meats and cheeses and thereby grown as a kitchen helper.
Work Life in Canada
After I came to Canada, I joined Maharaja East Indian Restaurant, which is centrally located
and worked there as a server and kitchen helper. This restaurant helped me to enhance my skills as a
manager. I managed that restaurant for 4 months in my serving period and conducted several training to
new employees about bar handling and serving drinks and food. I used to manage accounts of my
father’s cleaner company back in my home country and hence, I am familiar with managing lump sum
amount. I have worked in bigger teams in both Canada and India and hence, working in team with
maintaining and motivating team spirit is one of qualities, I am eager to apply in your restaurant.
Added Skills
Cleaning and maintaining hygiene, are one of the qualities that I have acquired from my parents.
They both work for the society by cleaning schools and hospitals and other public places sponsored by
our cleansing company. Other than this, I have taken a 6 months training in an account farm about
managing account for a startup company. Further, during my studies in the hotel management course, I
have organized workshops about culinary and serving skills. I have addressed 300 people in those
workshops and hence, Interacting with crowd, understanding their needs and managing adverse
situations are my experiences.
I am eager to display my abilities, in your esteemed and famous restaurant.
Yours Sincerely,
