human beings and other living organisms are at threat.
Personal credibility: In the past, I have carried out various research and study on the issue of
climate change. The same is been used for the purpose of this speech.
Thesis/Message: Climate change is largely a human induced issue, and if the rising temperatures
are not controlled, then soon the planet will become inhabitable by the human or other species.
Thus, it is the need of the hour to shift to renewable sources of energy to restrict the emission of
hazardous gases in environment.

II. Main Point #1: The temperature of the earth is constantly rising
A. The constant rise in temperature is leading to detrimental impact for any life to
survive on this planet.
1. If the rising temperature is not checked, then it could render the living
conditions for living beings on Earth difficult.
B. Non-renewable energy depletes the ozone layer of the atmosphere.
1. Non-renewable sources do not emit any hazardous gas in the air which raises
the temperature of Earth and hence is beneficial for the human life.

III. Main Point #2: The rising temperature of Earth is steadily melting the snow peak of mountains
A. Melting of snow peak is leading to rise in the average sea level across the globe.
1. If the same is not checked, then various coastlines across the world will
submerged under the sea
B. Depleting coastlines means loss of biodiversity and eco system prevalent in that area
1. The various aquatic plants and animals could be at risk, and also the land
available for human use is less.

A. The trend could be devastating for people in that region as they have to migrate to
another location.

lives of people.
B. Migrating trend puts pressure on the locals of the area as the sources of living and
resources available is limited
1. The locals might feel that there source of living and resources for
consumption are being reduced by the migrating people coming to their place,
and this lead to conflict around the world.

V. Cue the ending: Non-renewable energy sources are pitting burden on not only the
environmental concerns but also disrupting the life of people. Shifting to renewable is required in
order to fight back the climate change issue.

cities around the world. People have to migrate from one place to another which also leads to
conflict between various countries.

Call to action: It is the need of the hour to shift to renewable energy sources as it is eco-friendly
and also does not deplete the resources of the world. However, to achieve the same a collective
effort is needed from all sector of the world.

better place to live for the future generation.
