1. Type, dimension and attractions of Festival
Every year from February to March, Perth International Arts Festival takes place which is
Australia longest running cultural festival (McHugh, 2012). In Western Australia, this festival
is also known to be as one of the oldest cultural events held in the country. The University of
Western Australia created this annual multi-art festival in 1953. For the communities, various
activities run across the states such as theatre, dance, film, music, literature and visual arts. In
this festival, various artists participate around the world (Coyd, 2017). Moreover, there are
various other programmes also included in the festival such as Contemporary culture
programme, and Perth Visual Arts Festival. This all makes this festival unique.
2. Form
In align with the main festival, there are various small events also delivers total thirty
Australian premieres. This event has the Western Australian Indigenous Arts Showcase
(WAIAS) as its part involving 90 native musical group, actors, singers, and comedians. These
all groups come from various big states of Australia (Hirini, 2018). This festival is structured
to rejoice the work art of present artists from all the countries and admire the culture of local
communities and their support towards the land, city and country.
3. Location and Size
Generally, such event is organized in the heritage site of a country. With the help of this
festival, 500000 individuals and people associated annually in Perth and Great Southern. The
University of Western Australia ropes the event by delivering various resources and services.
Since 1992, Lotterywest also gives monetary aid to the festival (David, 2017).
In addition, the venue of this festival is continuously changing from Somerville auditorium,
Regal theatre to ABC Perth studios, festival gardens, Cottesloe beach, Red hill auditorium
and so on (Nightingale, 2018).

4. Budget Consideration
Budget considerations are dynamic concepts that guide the organization or an individual in
meeting up the financial goals (Alegre, Mateo and Pou, 2010). Perth International Arts
Festival takes various consideration of its corporate partners, stakeholders, and visitors.

a long list of corporate partners who are committed to giving of sponsorship. Various long-
terms partners who are connected to the festivals from a long period of time include Rio
Tinto, Lotterywest and Wesfarmers.

6. Stakeholders
Stakeholders are the people who have interest in an organization and they come through
many ways like direct relationships, investment, ownership and indirect relationships
(Murillo‐Luna, Garces‐Ayerbe and Rivera‐Torres, 2008). Perth International Arts festival has
an efficient development team that help them in finding wide range of stakeholders in support
for the mission and vision of the artistic director (Young, 2018). Moreover, for offering high
quality annual festival programme, these development teams take the help of corporate
partners, government and donor programmes so as to raise an amount of income in support
for the artistic programme. In addition, they also operate with the board of directors and
several authorities in getting support from many areas. In response to the managing and
coordinating festival partner, events and sponsorship executives contact directly with the
development director so as to gives a series of corporate hospitality programmes. All these
efforts by the team and individuals took out are for generating extra revenues.
The festival that held in Australia every year has a practical element involving the groups to
plan and execute (Williams, 2018). For effective planning and execution, several groups
considered and practice various event management concepts in the management theories. In
respect to the planning stage, there are some post event activities also which are same
important as prior activities need to start an event. For including, these post event activities in
the operation module of the event, the team consider evaluation of legacy and feedback
collection. The management process of the event includes planning, organizing, directing and
controlling of the various event activities such as securing visa for the international artists and
musicians, reviewing environmental sustainability efforts and considering some agreements
related with venue and partners (Langley, Smallman, Tsoukas and Van de Ven, 2013). In the
multiple levels of event management hierarchy where events are forwarded, there is a chance
that different processors perform different actions.
Perth International Arts Festival creates straightforward relationships with the people, society
and community with their various artistic events and gives audience several unforgettable
memories (Ward, 2018).
