This assignment has studied whether social enterprise in the Hammersmith should
receive fund through government to increase the level of health care and decrease night crimes.
This assignment has included PEST analysis which has showed this fund is necessary for a social
enterprise or not. Hammersmith United Charity is chosen as social enterprise. It completely
works in social welfare, and provides health and social care services, especially in Hammersmith
and Fulham area. All factors which affect this social enterprise has been mentioned below. Some
major recommendations also have included in this report for this charity organization.
Hammersmith and Fulham background
According to ONS, population of Hammersmith was 182,433 in 2011. Then 2011 to 2018
this borough's population has increased by 1.4%. In 2018, Hammersmith's population was
185,004. In this situation, 40% of this population are 75+ aged people, 24% are comes from 56
to 74 age group, 17% are 55 to 64, and rest 14% are related to 16 to 24 age group. Female's
population ratio is currently more than males ratio, because 51% are females and 49% are males
(Office for National Statistics, 2020). On the other side when we go with ethnicity,
31.9% residents has belonged to group of ethnic in 2001. On that time 5.8% Black African, 4%
