Introduction
Studying and analyzing the business environment of the organization is very important since it
will facilitate adequate knowledge which will assist the entrepreneur to be successful in its
business operation. PEST technique is a useful tool used to study and analyze the business
environment. While an entrepreneur is performing the planning process, it is required to know
the environment through playing PEST technique (Ahmadi, Maleki & Ahmadi, 2019).
In this task, the PEST technique will be carried out basing "Langley Child development center"
as the organization. This will help to carry out the quick and successful strategic planning
process.
PEST technique – Langley Child Centre.
The planning process is formulating future strategies which will be implemented in the future in
the company. This is achieved through analyzing political, social, economic and technical factor
of the company in setting out strategies.
Political factor
These are factors which will affect the Child development center from the government political
situation. As the organization is recognized as a non-profit organization is depending on national
government programs to provide service to the children (Bryson, 2018). Therefore for the
Langley Child development center to carry out strategic planning is required to support fully the
political sector of government which later on the organization will receive favor from the
government.

These are factors which affect the organization activities due to reasons like change in interest
rate, inflation impacts and, change in tax rate thus influencing the income level in the economy.
According to the report form Langley Child development center, the organization is required 1
million dollars to finance 2019 projects, therefore is necessary to consider the above economic
factors while planning for the budget (Hussong, Langley, Rothenberg & Mokrova, 2018). The
economy of the country is supposed to favor this budget and enable thirty thousand sessions in
that year to be executed successfully.
Social factor
“Langley Child development center” encourages the development of children to a potential
individual through working together with families and the rest of the community. The key focus
of the school is towards the youth and children with special needs; therefore, supporting them to
achieve their future goals. The school always performs several functions like Annual family
gatherings, programs which are directly focusing the youth, "national aboriginal day," and
sharing information about children through writing books and magazines. All these functions
encourage social responsibilities between the school and the community in setting strategies.
Technological factors
These are factors which involve the use of modern ways of doing things according to the
scientific innovation in the field of child care and handling special needs youth. Langley Child
development center is like to consider how to embrace new technology in improving its services
to the community. Also, this technology will help the organization to market itself and announce
its programs through website and Facebook pages as it is used to do (Zahid, Ali & Amin, 2018).
This new technology will help the organization to accomplish its strategies quickly and cheaply.
