Economic: Prices and inflation can have huge impact on the working of retail
organisations like M&S. There has been establishment of budget super markets and stores. This
has stolen away the feeling of luxurious brand. So, M&S has affected the working of company.
Social: In this M&S needs to be engaged in making sure that consumers are provided
with products according to their taste and preferences. They should be involved in providing
more healthier food products during the time of novel corona virus pandemic. This change must
be adopted by company in order to grow and gain competitive advantage.
Technological: In this various new technique can affect working of company. They can
be engaged in providing food online during the time of pandemic situation and also firm can go
cashless. They can also adopt self-check out policies. This can assist Marks and Spencer’s in
saving money which might be spent by them in the cashiers. They should also become a viable e-
commerce company. In this they need to start trading online more.
