The purpose of this paper is to provide recommendations on organizational safety culture and the
legal responsibilities of employers to ensure a safe workplace. Furthermore, this paper will also
focus on how Peter Smallgoods can ensure better organizational safety culture following HRM
practices.
Recommendations
There are few of the crucial recommendations which need to be analyzed effectively, they are as
follows:
It is highly recommended that the managers of Parker Smallgoods should arrange a
training session to train their employees about the importance of maintaining safety
culture within the organization. Training will increase the knowledge of the employees
thus increasing their involvement in the process (Biddison et al., 2016). Moreover, the

change in safety attitude of the employees. Employees will recognize the importance of
workplace safety and the general well-being of their colleagues. They will allow to
engage with safety rules and regulations within the workplace without the need of any
surveillance. Proper training will help them in managing risks and hazards before anyone
gets hurt. Furthermore, it will help to make them responsible to maintain safety protocols
within the workplace to increase the safety of the workplace (Guldenmund, 2015). It is
important to enhance the Positive mentality of the employees as it will increase their
dedication towards the work by following safety practices. Changing the behavior of the
employees will ultimately increase the profitability and productivity of the organization.

the firm. On the other hand, there should be encouragement and motivation provided to
the employees from the HR department with the help of various rewarding programs as it
will improve the overall performance of the concerned employees. It is further
recommended to perform an assessment to understand the areas of improvement in

The senior managers along with the management team should develop rules and
regulations within the workplace to ensure health and safety for their workers within the
organization. The managers of firms are responsible for creating awareness among their
employees to prevent any occupational hazards. There should be involvement of the
employees in organization safety activities and these employees can exercise their rights
under the safety rules
Employees who are following the safety protocols of the organization should be
rewarded, so other employees can be encouraged to do the same. These employees
should also be encouraged to speak against any unsafe practices in the organization.
Moreover, it is suggested that the managers should keep a record of work-related
accidents and take appropriate measures to eliminate this problem. Safety culture should
be established within the firm to prevent any mishaps within the organization as well as
to save organizational costs. Development and Maintenance of safety culture allow
management to effectively and effectively run the business operations of their firms
(Antonsen, 2017). On the other hand, the dedicated senior management team should
collaborate for establishing better safety culture within an organization and prevent any

the behavior of their employees.

workplace. The organizations have to run medical examinations to ensure health and
