Reflective practice
I, being a professional Mathematics expert try to encourage the students, so that their
affection towards the subject would be grown up. I am always trying to increase the interest
of my students towards the subject in such a way that their understanding can be developed
deeply. I always follow the principles of National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and
also the Standards for School Mathematics. In order to assess my personal teaching style, I
have set a goal and hence relied upon educator evaluation format. My goal is to develop a
critical application for using the subject in the process of information and communication. It
will bring an innovation in my career pathways. It will help me to understand how to use
technology in my teaching procedure. Apart from this, it will help me to enhance my
knowledge and skills in the subject and I can pursue further studies in the subject.
Professional roles and responsibilities
In order to achieve my career goal, I need to give additional focus and require to improve my
understanding in critical mathematical concepts and I can bring innovation in the proposed
venture. I require to have the eligibility to solve the problem of my students, which is the
reflection of the deeper understanding towards the subject. In spite of this, I have planned to
set short period milestone, so that my career goal in the long term can be successfully
achieved. For instance, in order to increase the efficiency in the venture of information
technology and communication, I require to attend global seminars in the engineering
colleges. It will be the primary stage of implementing innovation in my teaching process. In
addition, I have decided to give few online tests, so that I can successfully deal with the
innovation and my career goal. It will lead to create greater understanding in the subject.

Being a teacher, it is my responsibility to improve my students’ efficiency level in subject,
more specifically those who have lack in understanding Mathematics. I used to influence
them to respond in the iPlay math games, which will be successfully improved their skills and
knowledge in the subject. On the other hand, it will be beneficial to align with my career goal
and I can fulfil it effectively. The result of the iPlay games is the gradation or the skill level

information technology and communication. As a result, I can meet the needs of the learners
by minimising their lack in subject and can step towards achieving my goal.

The assessment practices show the progress in the learning of my student. In order to
determine their progress as well as for identifying the summative grading process, I used to
conduct midterm examination and end-of-course test every after 4 months. Consequently, I
can improve the development in subject matter competencies. After that, I provide my
students feedback based on their success in learning. Apart from this, I used to rely upon
several forms of enhancing the student performance and these are classroom dialogue, formal
tests, projects, portfolios, homework assignments, seatwork etc. It will increase the student’s

open communication with students instead of simply delivering lectures as it would help in
the fostering of an amicable relationship between students and teachers. Effective
communication between students and teachers would play an extremely important role with
regard to the efficient learning of all students in the class. It would also help students with

academically.
