Week 3
 Undertaken work: Project overview
 Understanding on the basis of artefacts: I have analyzed the project scenario of the
medical store and its need of a pharmaceutical system which can manage the services
provided by it and also to store the huge data of the patients. This system will enhance the
system and develop an interface which is fast and better usability so that customer can
easily access its order for the services. This information has found on the web browser
where I searched for the medical store and what is its needed to facilitate the services in
the future so that the medical sector can progress with the advancement of the technology
(Helaine, 2017). Thereby I have searched for the technology which can cope up with the
problem of the old medical store and can help in enhancing its growth.
 Communication skills and information literacy: I have used here my research skills and
decision-making skills for the selection of the project and to generate the project
overview for the project details.
 Technical literacy as demonstrated by the collection of items: I and my team members
mutually selected the project based in its need of the advanced technology. I analyzed
many of the technology that can suit this system and think to discuss with a team member
in other sessions.
 Contribution to project: My contribution includes the development of the scope, deciding
the objectives, funding the possible constraints and assumptions and statement of work.
In addition to this, I have finalized my team with their approval and thereby present the
statement of work. I discussed with my team members about the medical store and what
we can do for the advancement of the medical store. So for the assessment, we mutually
selected this project as it will interesting and also help the medical store to enhance its
system.

Week 4
 Undertaken Work: Planning part of WBS
 Understanding on the basis of artefacts: For the development of the project, I switched
to the project development methodology and learned and searched about the contents. I
learned the process and how it develops and gets executed. I also understood various
methods and process to execute the project and to develop the project plan. Therefore,
firstly I started with the planning of the WBS which is the work breakdown structure.
This structure helps in distributing the project into some specific stages based on the
requirements and stages need to be completed at the specific time of the duration
(Kukhnavets, 2016). This duration is the total duration of the project in which project
must be completed.
 Communication skills and information literacy: I have used my ability of quick learning
in understanding the project management and to create a WBS for the project that has
been initiated. I also took many of the steps through my decision-making skills. I
gathered all the information from research.
 Technical literacy as demonstrated by the collection of items: With the discussion of the
planning of the WBS, I have gathered lots of information for the structure of the WBS. I
have discussed and collected the useful information such task duration, sub-tasks and so
on.
 Contribution to project: I have learned to develop the project plan and to create the work
break down structure for the project. It also includes the initial planning of the WBS. For
the planning of the WBS, I started with the development of the team on the basis of the
better skills of team coordination and focused liabilities. Later I schedule many of the
meetings to discuss about the project selection and alter with the mutual decision making,
I and my team members decided the project which has to be executed. Later I analyzed

the topic more in deeper and find out the objectives and constraints of the project. I
assigned team members to the role of the project that they will play during the project
development and then discussed the types of the stages required in the formation of the
creation of the work breakdown structure. Later we discussed to distribute the stages
among the duration of the project within some specific interval. Lastly, I also added to
involve the risk analysis in the project, in addition, to controlling on quality so that the
vulnerabilities can be detected and a better solution can be developed for the medical
store.
Week 5
 Undertaken Work: Discussion on the solution and system design
 Understanding on the basis of artefacts: I have undergone the planning of the WBS and
it is the time to discuss which technology should apply to the demand of the medical store
and to handle its services for the future aspects of advancement. There are various
technologies such as cloud, website, database, mobile application and so on. I have
researched all the top technologies and lastly concluded that the best solution can the
interface design in addition to the involvement of the database of the project
(McSweeney, 2014). This solution has been discussed with the team members and we
discussed at many of the meetings finally decided that this solution will be the best one to
be implemented for the medical store.
 Communication skills and information literacy: I involved my skills of researching and
providing a solution for any proposed issue. My regular discussion with the team member
lets me share information and keep them updated on the project and my activities.

 Technical literacy as demonstrated by the collection of items: The proposed solution of
the medical store is named as the pharmaceutical system which involves the development
of website interface and the database of the management of information.
 Contribution to project: I researched about different techniques for the deployment of a
new system for the medical store and lastly decided the solution and conducted a meeting
to make the decision for the solution. The result of the meeting was that all the team
members are agreed on the solution. I found that interface of the website will be much
effective and this will also help in the advertisement of the store also. Customer can visit
the website and then select the type of service they want to select. After this, I proceeded
to the selection of the system design which will be used for the storage of the data which
includes the details of the patients, staff and much other required information.
Development of the database includes implementation of a platform based on either SQL
or Microsoft Access and there are various methodology to implement the database such
waterfall or agile. It also includes the coding of the database which has to be done the
expert in the coding is a developing with some experience. All these things have been
discussed with my team members and they agreed to forward the idea of this solution.
Week 6
 Undertaken Work: Risk Analysis and Management
 Understanding on the basis of artefacts: Every project has several vulnerabilities which
must be analyzed to detect the risks that can possibly occur in the process of the project
plan. The analysis of the risk to detect and finding its solution is termed as the risk
analysis and its management (Roseke, 2017). There can be any type of reason starting
from the delay in the project, cost overrun to the change in scope or demand of the
project and so on.

 Communication skills and information literacy: I discussed on this with my team
members through meeting and generated a risk table given in the progress report 1 and
we discussed more the risk that includes the risk matrix and its analysis.
 Technical literacy as demonstrated by the collection of items: The data collected by me
for the risk analysis and management is for the three stages in progress report where the
risk has been selected.
 Contribution to project: I have performed risk analysis on the project plan to evaluate the
possibilities of vulnerabilities and errors in the project in the initial stages. I found that
there are several reasons that are responsible for the occurrence of the risk and they can
categorize as the internal risk and external risk. The external risk is associated with the
factor that outside of the project such as stakeholders, service providers, resource
providers. Internal risk is associated with the internal factors of the project such as
changing scope, changing cost, schedule and so on. It becomes necessary to evaluate the
whole project after a specific duration of time so that vulnerabilities can be detected. I
have discussed all these things with my team members to evaluate the risk in the project
and finding the best possible solution to these risks.
Week 7
 Undertaken Work: Progress report 1: Analysis on the status of the project
 Understanding on the basis of artefacts: After the development of the project plan and
its approval, the project development process has been started. Initially, the planning
stages included the points which are required for the initial development of the project
plan and also states what has to be included in the project (Strasser, 2017). In this stage, I
have selected the project of developing an online system of the pharmaceutical system to
support a medical system in managing its services and to succeed growth.

 Communication skills and information literacy: I have used the technique of analyzing
the completed and current status of the project which also states what the possibilities of
the future stages are. I also did the risk assessment of the completed project stages and
found some risk with the help of my team members. Meeting session was also held at the
campus of the college to discuss the project.
 Technical literacy as demonstrated by the collection of items: I have collected the data
of risk assessment and the status of the stages whether the stage is completed or an
upcoming event. I documented the data of the risk assessment done on the completed
stages.
 Contribution to project: In the current stage of the project, I have analyzed the stages that
have been completed. After this, the stage of project research has been achieved in which
the current situation of the business has been researched. With, the project that has been
analyzed on the basis of the market research and what will be just future possibilities in
getting success and if there is some problem regarding that what will be the possible
solution to that issue. The third stage that was completed before the progress report 1 also
includes the analysis part of the project plan. During this stage, the analysis has been
conducted on the business, types of stakeholders, risk, proposed system, client-based
system and distribution system. The current stage which is in progress is the stage in
which the solution of the problem of medical will be decided. I also stated which
milestone has been achieved and which one is remaining. I planned the meeting session
with my team members and we discussed on the progress report of the current status.
Week 8
 Undertaken Work: Progress report 1: project schedule

 Understanding on the basis of artefacts: Initially for the development of the WBS, the
plan has been distributed in several tasks and their subtask to accomplish the project
ineffective way. I learned that distribution of a plan in many of the stages helps in
managing the plan. This settlement of WBS by deciding the duration of each is the
schedule plan (Westland, 2013). The stages that have been decided must be conducted
within the time framed for them otherwise there might become vulnerabilities such that it
may affect the outcomes of the project. For this, I researched about the different
techniques that can help in minimizing the most of the vulnerabilities. One technique is
the discussion, discussing all the issues with stakeholders helps in generating alternative
solutions that can help out to cope up with the problem in different ways.
 Communication skills and information literacy: For the generation of this data, I
researched through many of the schedule plans as an example and use my critical
thinking ability to develop the schedule plan. I learned to predict the time required to
accomplish a task.
 Technical literacy as demonstrated by the collection of items: I learn to convert the
WBS into the schedule and to develop the plan on the MS project to create the Gantt
Chart of the project.
 Contribution to project: My contribution to this learning includes my deep research that
has been conducted during the phase of WBS. I learned how to develop WBS for a
project and how to assign duration to each task. I also discussed the time duration of the
task with the project team members such that the plan might be appropriate or not and
had taken their approval to proceed for the resource allocation. I also contributed towards
the stages involved in the project which stages will be required and what will be the
subtask for the top stages. I also learned to generate the Gantt Chart from this schedule
plan with the help of MS Project Tool.
Week 9

 Undertaken Work: Progress report 1: current risk review
 Understanding on the basis of artefacts: I carefully examined the work that has been
completed and the outcomes of these stages will help in executing the next stages. The
risk assessment and review helps in protecting the stakeholders, business and the legal
laws that are associated with the project. It is always done before the occurrence of any
risk so that the risk can be prevented before it happens (Broadleaf, 2014). The artefact
that has been selected here is a review that has been collected in the tabular format on the
first three stages.
 Communication skills and information literacy: I critically analyzed all the three
completed stages on the basis of their quality factor which includes the scope, time, cost
and stakeholders. The analysis can be done for the risk involves some stages and they are
identified, decide the priority, evaluate the measures, documentation and justify the
review.
 Technical literacy as demonstrated by the collection of items: There are several
techniques which can be used for the risk review. I have used the technique of
brainstorming with my team members to review the identified risk.
 Contribution to project: I have conducted this review stage to analyze the risk and what
are different ways through which analysis can be done. I contributed to the development
of the activity such as brainstorming which helps in reviewing the possible risk of the
selected project. Rather than this, I also have the option of performing the root cause
analysis and the SWOT analysis but these techniques will further increase the time of
existing stage and will provide a delay in consecutive stages of the project. With this
contribution of risk analysis, I had improved the value and quality of the project in terms
of better outputs. With this, I also add to use the risk register which provides the specific
risk, potential responses, root causes and risk categories.

Week 10
 Undertaken Work: Group meeting
 Understanding on the basis of artefacts: For effective sharing of the information and
discussing various aspects of the project, I have conducted meeting session at various
stages of the project and in this meeting session, I have involved my team members to
equally participate in the meeting and provide solution, if any issue may raise in the
meetings then this must be resolved using the teamwork and coordination (George,
2017).
 Communication skills and information literacy: This includes the use of skills such as
teamwork, coordination, and leader quality and project manager. This information
literacy is effective as the accomplishment of the project depends on the team members
and their skills.
 Technical literacy as demonstrated by the collection of items: There is no such specific
tool for the teamwork and coordination. But having a good practice in the
accomplishment of the project, the skill of teamwork itself increases.
 Contribution to project: I have conducted various meeting sessions at the project stages
and with this, I have collected a lot of information and solution which helped me a lot
through the project. With the use of meeting channel of communication, I discuss various
issues of the project and its deliverables so that tasks can be achieved within the
timeframe of the project. Meeting sessions with the stakeholders also make them produce
a detailed data at the meeting's sessions as there were several queries generated by me
and my team members. It is useful to better understand the project on which we are
performing and implementing project plan. The objective of the meetings is to clarify the
objective and to discuss the different alternative solution for the project task for which

this meeting has been conducted. I also conducted a meeting to keep motivating my team
members and making them keep focused on the project objectives and the goals.
Week 11
 Undertaken Work: Discussion on presentation in class
 Understanding on the basis of artefacts: Presentation helps in presenting the details of
the project in a formal manner. Explanation and analysis of any chapter result in the
productive use of skills so that the team can be managed effectively. It helps in better
explanation with less effort and to convey the same information o each team member or
the stakeholder (Genard, 2015). Therefore properly managing the scope of the
presentation, it becomes easy to present an idea and explain it in terms of the objectives
of its development. It is the best way to interact with the audience and presenting a piece
of information in an understandable manner rather than documenting it.
 Communication skills and information literacy: It requires effective skills of presenting
target main points with the help of evidence. Communication skills should be excellent in
addition to this it also requires observing the reaction of the viewers. It also involves the
ability of collect the understanding of the viewers such that how much they are
understanding from the presentation and It always emphasize on key points of the topic,
 Technical literacy as demonstrated by the collection of items: There are several tools
which help in the development of the presentation. I have used the Microsoft PowerPoint
for the development of the presentation in case of any explanation of the topic.
 Contribution to project: I have used the presentation technique to provide the details of
the resources at the stage of the resource analysis. I also used this for the explanation of
project overview so that team members get the full knowledge of the background

information of the project. The contribution that has been done by implementing this is
the time saving and this technique has saved a lot of time in wasting collection of data.
With this, I and my team members have also improved their skills of presentation and
hence it is among the assessment of the program so pre-practice can help in the project
and produce effective outcomes.
Week 12
 Undertaken Work: project report
 Understanding on the basis of artefacts: The project needs to be submitted and thereby
need to be implemented. It better to go through the project to remove any discrepancies
and project can be closed with all its requirements. Before the closing the project, I would
like to recommend using the full documentation of the project and thereby project report
has been developed (Icasas, 2013). This developed report must be analyzed by the
stakeholders so that they can properly review it for better improvements in the future.
 Communication skills and information literacy: It includes the skill of critical thinking
on the project and deliverables so that documentation can be done properly and can be
used for the analysis of the project. It also involves the documentation involving the
academic skills for the development of the document.
 Technical literacy as demonstrated by the collection of items: This includes the use of
academic techniques for the development of the final report.
 Contribution to project: I have analyzed the whole project for this time and evaluated
each section of the task and sub-task. Documentation of any project helps in verifying all
its deliverables on the basis of documentation report. This will probably provide the full
data of the report and description of each task. This can also be used for the consecutive

learning of the stages. I contributed to the development of this report and also conducted
meeting in this situation. I have the doubt of sharing this data among the stakeholder of
the project because there might be an issue of losing some of the confidential
information. This data should be kept protected so that other student cannot develop
similar copy. This report will be submitted after the peer assessment done by me of the
final report. This report must be developed in the context of the academic document.
