First of all, I would like to thank Hass faculty for giving me a chance to express my opinion and
talk regarding to my experience during my first year PhD journey and I am so happy to share all
challenges here which I faced in this year and which was the most hardest and challenging years
of my life.
In this year, I worked with many professional teams and peoples such as Supervisors,HASS
faculty and NUBS faculty those help to gain a some important knowledge and also gain valuable
experience, English Language for academic , conferences and seminars.
My supervisor Professor Charles Harvey is most important person and I feel so lucky to meet
with him because he help me from the starting of the journey and I am very thankful to him and I
am so happy or feel proud to work with him and he always motivate me to enhance my self trust
and also point out my weakness whenever he discovers mistakes and help to overcome those
weaknesses and I would also like to thank the second supervisor Dr. Tom for help during the

Qualitative method of data collection tells about interview and ethnography data collection
method which are very helpful and also provide some general information . Workshops provide
a lesson with different experiences . ‘Research Designs in Management and Business Studies’
class, in business schools provide a valuable and enjoyable experience as they point specially to
business and management researchers. This helps to learn about interviews and ethnographical
skills which can be used in my fieldwork.
Quantitative method which was tough by Dr. Rubin was very interesting as he made it easy to
understand ,it also has some mathematics and statistics that may be difficult for some but on a
personal openion i enjoyed these classes a lot with added new skills and easy usage of spss
software.
In the end HASS programs have added lot of skills and knowledge such as time management,
pressure and stress handeling , challenge facing etc. As i was busy with my thesis, NUBS and
language classes i was not able to attend some important classes which were useful for my
studies . I hope that i would be able to cover reaming subjects in comming years. Many things
changed in my life trough this experience and i would like to say that “The ultimate measure of a
man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times
of challenge and controversy”. Martin Luther King Jr.
