Wellbeing reflects the positive outcome that describes apt meaning
to the people and to the entire society. The concept of intrinsic goods is
described relating to the instrumental good (Bhaskar, 2010).It shows
something worthwhile.In simple terms these goods do not serve like what
money does. The purpose of money is to create pleasure. Therefore,
intrinsic goods include all aspects of the well-being of persons.
The following are basic types of intrinsic goods with relevant examples.
(a).Play.
These include all activities which provide adequate opportunity to
exercise necessary skills (Laird, 2014). In most cases, human beings
appreciate the importance of these activities and enjoy for own sake.
They include sports, music, sports such as football and other related
games. The whole concept encompassed in "play" tends to impart new
knowledge to the parties involved.
(b).Knowledge.
This intrinsic good entails information and skills which in most
cases they are accessed through one's experience or education.
Knowledge also includes both practical and theoretical comprehension of
a certain product. Knowledge can be gained in different ways. When we
share our views regarding a certain experience then we tend to impart
knowledge to other people.
(c).Aesthetic experience.
It is referred to as the total experience and enjoyment of beauty.
The aesthetic experience starts in response to the entire work of arts and
aesthetic objects (Laird, 2014).In addition, aesthetic experiences are

complete, the richest and have high experiences. For example,
considering the pleasurable responses with the aesthetic experiences
form an experience that is linked with something special which is about
the objects or events.
(d).Harmony with other people.
This type of intrinsic good describes on friendship and love we have
for other human beings (Wilson, 2012). It explores the idea of a
relationship. It describes the whole concept of social connectedness. This
is to say that the issue of love and intimacy in humans life including the
relationship between parents, family members and from our romantic
partners (Belshaw, 2014).
(e).Intelligent control of one's life.
Refers to the internal peace we have to ourselves. The harmony
created through our emotions, ideas, habits, and actions (Rosenberg,
2018).This describes the ability to act intelligently when accessing the
actual mastery of our actions and how we shape our lives depending on
what we perceive to be right. Exercising our intelligence makes easier to
control our emotions and also build our habits to align with one's dignity.
(f).Life.
Human life comprises these type of intrinsic goods (Belshaw,
2014). One's life is made up of health, vitality, freedom from pain and the
process of coupling which leads to young ones. Life is the fundamental
intrinsic good that will describe human. For example, attaining goals and
objectives gives a sense of direction to human beings.
(g).Religion.
This good describes the relationship between man and God. To
some people, religion is an intrinsic good that almost all humankind
depends. We all believe that we were created in the image of God. This
brings a reality that directs on what we supposed to do so as to honour

our God (Malpas, 2018). Attaining the necessary guidance in accessing
this good builds one's strength in religion.
Intrinsic goods opt to have different features that display uniqueness.
These characteristics include;
Intrinsic goods build on the aspect of fulfillment.They offer services
which aid in satisfying human needs.
Intrinsic goods can neither be bought nor has manufactured. One to work
in order to access any of intrinsic goods. We invest and secure adequate
time to acquire intrinsic goods. For example to in order to get knowledge
then we need to create time and read smart (Cooley, 2017).
There is no competition for accessing intrinsic goods. For instance, if
someone shares an idea then it does not mean he or she has incurred a
loss but in real sense, ones have shared knowledge.
2. Reflecting "The Letter to Almudena."
In the letter, the family is lamenting for losing daughter. Although
the daughter was hand-capped there are those critical issues which
Almudena was in the position to undertake. The family was proud of the
daughter.
Despite the situation of Almudena the family began to notice the
importance of caring for handicapped people in society. This is core
virtue which we learn in NHB. Love and care were key characteristics of
Almudena.They are seen as critical features in NHB which enhances
human dignity. This is to suggest that a human being has to handle and
respect conditions one has despite health variations. Almudena enriched
the entire family and that's why they were happy (Habermas, 2014).
The letter entirely describes love and doing well to others. The process is
important in NHB course since it forms pathways that each human has to
follow. Caring and loving others in society is what God seeks us to do all
the time. Human life is crucial and it's only through love whereby we can

care and protect human in society. Those humans with full of happiness
show that Gods presence is inside their hearts.
3. Meaning of the statements
(a). Judgement as an act of the intellect.
In general judgement in entire composition describes the mental
acts and how these acts are used to impart on intellect (Hume, 2017).
The faculty of judgement comprises the total ability to ponder in an
intelligent manner. The truthiness and fair judgements are affected by
the intellectual ability. Therefore judgement is total ability think well and
understand ideas at a higher level.
(b).Sanctions by Josef Pieper, "The Four Cardinal Virtues."
Sanctions are not punishments since they are the public measures
that target to bend new wills. To exercise just revolves around respecting
one's dignity. According to the four cardinal virtues, the judgement to
someone needs to acknowledge. The contest means that apt man judge
depending on the wrath of the person. It is through the just of judgement
whereby the sanctions can be achieved through the utmost criteria to
impart on judgement. For example, sanctions in different countries state
that each sanction should be rendered inappropriate manner (Bratman,
Hamilton, Daily, 2012).
(c).How man is different from other animals.
According to the understanding and ability of a man, we see that
there is a big difference between man and animal. Man is able to
communicate and control animals in the ecosystem. This unique ability
differentiates man from other creatures. In fact, we as human beings we
are different from animals. For example, man is in a position to
manipulate the world around us. Well, we say we are different from
animals because we can control and communicate.
(d).Helping someone can lead to achieving lasting behaviour.

People who influence others seem to change the world. For
instance, if we look to coaches who mentor other people have long-
lasting behaviour. Therefore, it means that those influences others
dedicate fully to what life meaning and purpose, they always continue to
better their life's, they engage people in open beneficial aspects, they
fully invest more energy to assist others and they embrace more on the
overall critique (Bratman, Hamilton, Daily,2012).
(e).Sexuality not being purely anatomical or biological.
Human sexuality is described as the way people express
themselves sexually. It comprises human emotions, biological
descriptions, social and spiritual feelings and behaviours one has.
Despite the concept of anatomy and biological sphere, it is clear that sex
can also originate from social effects. Sex is affected by human's culture,
ethics and religious aspects of life. This is to mean that sex not entirely
depend on one's anatomy neither the biological sphere. Opinions in sex
different especially on individual's sexual orientation and sexual
behaviour (Bhaskar, 2013).For example, checking on individual coupling,
reproduction strategies, and social learning theories we get to
understand more views on the sexuality.
(f)."The Hobbit" Tolkien calling for self-development.
The Hobbit is a fictitious story full of fantasy. It involves myths and
legends with creatures that symbolize the eras of history. The entire
concept of Tolkien is individualism. It describes the entire concept
followed to incur individualism. Self-development is determined by how
we interpret and relate our thinking with our consciousness. Self-
development is evaluated through the use of apt mechanisms that will
enhance dignity. For example, from encounters we experience in our
daily lives determines development (Sayre, 2014).
(g).Sense cognition different from intellectual cognition.
The difference between sense cognition and intellectual cognition
becomes clear at first when we consider each meaning. Sense cognition

reasoning to solve a problem. On other hand use of intellectual cognition
will comprise the involvement of individual psychological functions

needs both sense cognition and intellectual cognition.

4. What have done with NHB so far?
Human nature comprises a bundle of characteristics which are
fundamental. These features comprise thinking, overall feeling and
modes in which human being act naturally. The questions on how these
features are unique to human beings and different from other creatures
is common in philosophy. Psychology examines human nature so as to
adjust economics, ethics, politics, and theology in the field of philosophy.
From human nature, in physiology, I have been able to understand
different concepts that are crucial for a human. Some of the importance's
have achieved from NHB are;
Man is described as a mimetic creature who has to make laws. This can
only be achieved through critical imagination. The judgement needs to be
fair and just so as to concur with the dignity of mankind.
Through NHB have been able to acknowledge the great questions

NHB provides with knowledge on interpreting how human nature forms a

varies from one person to the other. As there is a distinct difference in
connecting concepts of human nature, there are views discussing the
connection found between human nature and the normal morals which
portray diverse implications about one's nature. Therefore the concept of
NHB enabled me to get the base or foundation for human morality. This
is to say that if understandings of human nature were incomplete then
our moral judgements could be unreliable to all human beings. For
instance, if we decide to give a punishment that we believe will
rehabilitate people, but the recommendation for rehabilitation fails or is
mistaken then the overall judgement for the punishment is unreliable.
Therefore, our values depend on how we interpret virtues of NHB so as
to correlate with relevant facts (Hughes & Sharrock, 2016).
NHB enables one to familiarise with wellbeing strategies. Psychology
serves as input for gaining the core parts of wellbeing. Understanding
how humans respond to various concepts and situations determines the

fundamental for wellbeing such as happiness, the importance of

the ecosystem. Understanding the issues of man's uniqueness to God is
the main concept we have to keenly interpret from NHB (Hughes &
Sharrock, 2016). Therefore, through this one gets to know that man is a
conjugal animal and has to couple at an adult age.
5. Suggestions for enhancing short term, medium term and long-
term effectiveness of NHB course.
NHB is vital in psychology. This is to suggest that we need to come
up with measures that will enhance effectiveness in NHB. Enhancing
short term, long term and medium term for NHB course use common
criteria (Robinson, 2017). This may be achieved through;
Enhancing human dignity in different fields forms the short-term
suggestions. This may be in technology, the field of science and also an
entire field of philosophy.
On the issue of the middle term, the suggestion is that NHB needs to
design those appropriate measures that will target to promote justice and
fairness to the society. This improves the effectiveness of NHB in
philosophy (Gilbert, 2016).
Long-term suggestions may include checking on the fundamental virtues
that relate to cultural concepts, economical approaches and considering
the political arena encompassing human dignity.
NHB need to establish distinctive genius in humanity. This boosts the
effectiveness of the course. A human being needs to appreciate any
important move done to induce a change in a society. This aids in NHB
effectiveness since it focuses on forming equal concepts that will modify
human dignity.

6. Impressions on the film "The Human Experience."
This is a documentary produced by Grassroots Films. It involves a
story of two brothers that is; Clifford and Jeffrey Azize (Simon, 2017). The
impression is based on the question of; what it means by being a human
being? There are other characters such as Mathew Sanchez who
participated in their question. The story describes experience each
character faced in different regions.
The entire impression is based on commentary starting from spiritual,
artistic and medical philosophers. The characters experienced challenges
in their childhood (Tucker, 2017).In the finals, the two brothers together
with the other friends went to Africa. Michael went to Ghana where he
met with victims of AIDS. The victims had been chased away from their
villages because of the disease. The two boys return to New York to
change the human condition.
In the end, the two brothers met with his father since they had not seen
each other for more than 10 years. They love their father and they
reconciled with him.
7. Comment on "if" poem by Rudyard Kipling.
"If" is a poem written in 1895. The poem is written to advise the
main character by the name John (Thorpe, 2018).
From the poem "if" the issue of cultural virtues remains as the
fundamental touchstone in the entire story. The parodies of the poem
represent the cultural artifacts in British and the entire popularity of the
Britons (Roden, 2014).
