Philosophy plays a deep role in modern life, there are a lot of ideas regarding the
acceptance and the analysis of the philosophical understanding of the teachings that the great
philosophers have mentioned rightly. The theories regarding the philosophy came into being by
deducing the orientation and the daily lifestyle of humans (Timmerman). The theories
propounded by the philosophers, came into being by analyzing the sustained, systematic and
reflective thinking regarding certain concepts and beliefs of any subject and in point or stage or
phase in life.
Body:
Marcus Aurelius was an exceptional leader who has been, he propounded various
philosophical ideas and has been including the ideas to substantiate his knowledge regarding the
human mind (Inwood). Therefore the factors that needs to be understood is regarding the factors
that had made his thesis very relevant to the modern day. His one of the main themes was to
realize the mistakes of one and also realize the mistakes of one and not to ignore any thing,
which will eventually result into mistakes Thus Modern self-help draws heavily on Stoic
philosophy (Inwood)
Epicureanism is a base ground of philosophy that can be identified as it is the foreground
of the philosophical teachings of the great philosopher Epicurus. It has been propounded in the
year of 307 BC (Timmerman). The basic idea behind the philosophical notion of Epicureanism
is to do the greatest good ne must seek the modest pleasures so that one achieve the state of
tranquility, freedom from fear and have absence of body pain.

Another interesting factor that is mostly related to the modern life is the inclusion of the
existentialism. Existentialism is a very important factor that needs to be done for the
identification of the existential issues and the result of the daily conundrum of modern life is
taken to be the impact and the reason behind the generation of the idea behind the idea of
existentialism. Albert Camus stated the idea that individuals must be able to embrace the absurd
condition of the human existence (Priest). This resulted into the generation of the idea
Absurdism, and gradually after being substantiated by other important concepts and framing it
under the theoretical template, it gradually came to be known as Existentialism (Priest).
Conclusion:
The various types of ideas and the philosophical concepts needs to be understood as there
are multiple factors that affect the modern life greatly. The factor of Epicureanism and stoicism
is a definite idea that holds the base of the modern philosophy and frames the idea behind the
existence of man aiming at its sustenance. This builds the foreground of highlighting the ideas
and imposing of the facts that highlights the condition and portrays the situation of modern life.
Existentialism is that part of the philosophy that enunciates the ideas and portrays the
understanding the situation and the complexities of modern, making adverse effect in the daily
life of the humans.
