AI Summary
This essay, a reflection assignment for a Philosophy 11 course, delves into the intriguing question of whether machines are capable of creating and appreciating art. The author explores the current capabilities of machines, referencing the ability of AI to perform artistic tasks, such as computer-generated art. The essay posits that machines can indeed make art, citing examples like computer-aided design and artificial intelligence's capacity for independent thought and action. The essay further argues that machines can appreciate art, suggesting that they can be programmed to analyze and provide feedback on artwork. The author references existing applications and software that evaluate art, concluding that machines, with the aid of AI, can analyze and provide feedback on art. The essay considers opposing viewpoints and the philosophical implications of these advancements, making it a comprehensive analysis of the topic.

1REFLECTION ON ROBOTICS
Is it possible for a machine to make ‘art’? Is it possible for a machine to appreciate ‘art’?
In the present date, it is very true that in most of the cases the machine re known for
performing those tasks which once were previously done by the humans. Therefore according to
the author Parker, Lynne (2018) in the present date of innovation artistic creation can also be
termed as or considered as a candidate which is both operated by the help of human beings and
as well as the machines. But however it can be said that Yes it is absolutely possible for most of
the machines to make a particular art work. Machines in the present date can not only make an
art work but also paint when it comes to writing and reading. Taking an example of a machine
performing and artwork is that the human arts which is made over the computers, where the artist
is known for performing all the computer programming before hand and the computer as well as
the printer attached with it is performing the full art work and providing an external copy of it.
Also according to the author Krieger and Roberts, (2018) in the present date Artificial
intelligence can easily perform any kind of human art with the involvement of human aid at all.
It will not require any kind of data set just like the work which is provided in computers.
Artificial intelligence is known for having the power to think all by themselves and then perform
any kind of activity according to their willingness. Therefore it can be said that if artificial
intelligence is fitted in a machine, it will be able to perform any kind of art without human aid.
Yes definitely machines can appreciate an art work which is provided by a human being.
There are various types innovative artificial intelligence. Also it has been found out that the
computers and computing devices, can be programmed accordingly in order to appreciate the art
work which is produced by the machine or by a human being. Art work to the machines are just
like the computer program, it has to decode the art work so as by taking the input with the

internal device associated with the machine (Krieger and Roberts, 2018). After the input of the
art work the machine s with the help of artificial intelligence and various types of processing
software can detect the art work and then try to analyze it in a proper manner. The machine
should be capable of decoding the art work in the first place and then should pay more and more
attention to the art work. In the present date there are various types of mobile phone applications
and as well as computerized artificial intelligence software that can detect the work art process
them and then provide a rating to it (Sullivan, Amanda and Marina 2018). Few of the mobile
based art work detector applications are Artworko and Mellalo. These application basically work
like taking a click of the presented art work. They process the art work with the use of artificial
intelligence and then provide a feedback against it.
