Statement of Work Introduction
The company PHC has recently provided the approval for website redesigning project. This
statement of work is prepared for the project of Website Redevelopment of the organization
Pashendale Holdings Ltd. The project is regarding an update of the existing website of PHL
which is www.pashendale.weebly.com. PHL is the Australian construction organization having
the strategic plan to enhance the marketing as well as the customer services (Sánchez, 2015). The
scope of the project includes the requirements that are required to be accomplished as a result.
The scope of the project includes building the new website which is rich in the content including
the client testimonials, new building developments, recent news about the company, and an
affiliate platform for the network as well as including the other relevant information about the
industry having a user- friendly and simplified interface for the customers or the clients of the
company. The scope of the project includes the development of such a website which will be
helpful for PHL to work in closer interaction with the clients in order to develop the tailored
solutions for the construction. The website to be developed will be facilitating the delivery of
more timely feedback to future clients and can be helpful in improving customer interactions
with the company (Dyakova, et. al., 2016).
Background Project Scope
The scope of the work includes the planning, execution, implementation as well as the training
for the development of a new website but it does not include any work on the internal intranet
site for PHL. There will be adequate resources available for the designing, building, testing as
well as implementing the redeveloped website. There will be a requirement of approval from the
company’s management at each stage of the project before moving to the next stage of the
project management. The deliverables, as well as the milestone of such project, will be listed in
the Work Requirements as well as the milestones part of the Statement of Work.

Place of the performance
The selected contractor for the Website Redesign Project will be performing all the work-related
activities at their own facility. The contractors will be required to meet at the facility of PHL
once in a week for getting the weekly status. The company will be providing and arranging the
spaces for the meeting conducted with the vendors. Once there is the training phase in the project
execution process, all the pieces of training will be conducted on the premises of the company

The contractors are the part of such Website Redesign Project and they will be held responsible
for the performance of several numbers of tasks and activities in all the important stages of the
project. The statement of the work requirements includes the description of the tasks to be
accomplished within the project which will be required (Jaber, et. al., 2018). The activities are
included in this statement which is required to be completed for the successful completion of this
task. Following is provided the list of the tasks which will result in the effective and the
successful completion of the project:
Kickoff activity:
 The contractors selected for the project will create as well present the project plan for
such website redevelopment project which will include the schedules of the activities,
work- breakdown structure, testing plans, implementation plans, training plans as well as
the transition plans.
 The contractors of such project will prepare and present the project plan in front of PHL
for the review as well as the approval of such (Joslin and Müller, 2015).
Designing Phase:
 Working with the PHL to collect all the requirements regarding the project and then
establish the metrics.
 There will be created the site design which is based on such all gathered requirements.
 There will be the development of the site design proposal in order to present it before the
company for review and approval (Kivilä, et. al., 2017).

 There will be presented the weekly status in the written form in the meeting.
Build Phase:
 The coding related work will be completed by the contractors for the approved design of
the site.
 There will be provided the detailed testing plan to the company by the contractors.
 All content will be provided on the redeveloped website by contractors.
 All the site and coding related issues will also be solved by the vendors in an appropriate
manner.
 There will be conducted the testing in both in a limited beta release as well as the iLab.
 There will be completed the testing report to present it before the company for the
approval.
 The presentation of written status at the weekly meeting will be given.
Implementation Phase:
 There will be implemented the newly redeveloped website on the servers of the company.
 The contractors will also start to provide 24 by 7 website support at such point forward
until the end of the performance period (Chan, 2017).

Training phase
 The contractors will provide the training as per the approved training plan provided in the
first phase.
 The presentation of the written status in the weekly meetings (Kerzner, 2017).
Project Closure Phase:
 There will be provided the all documentation to the company in accordance with the
approved plan of the project (Butt, et. al., 2016).
 The project closure report will be provided to the company for the approval and the
review.

 There will be fulfilled the project requirement checklists presenting that all the project
related tasks have completed (Campbell, et. al., 2015).
 The 24 by 7 web support will be concluded on the final period performance day.
 The written status will be presented in the weekly meeting of the company.
Statement for the Schedules/ Milestones
This part of the work statement provides information about the schedule of the deliverables as
well as the costs indulged in them along with the milestones. There is a need for these milestones
and cost estimations to be accurate because the contractors will be required to consider all of
these items in the proposal (Costantino, et. al., 2015). There will be included the milestones,
tasks, schedules as well as the costs involved in such activities. Following is provided the list of
the initial milestones which are found for the redevelopment project of the website for PHL
organization:

This is the milestones as well as the pricing shown in the tabular form presenting the complete
task structure or ten structures of the activities. The costs involved in these projects are presented
according to the whole activity to be completed within the project. There are several numbers of
the activities required to be completed in this project and it is very important to have an idea that
which activity will be complete in what period of time. The work of the project will be
completed by the evening of Christmas and the contractors will also be free from their
responsibilities and duties. The work will be starting in September and will be completed at the
end of the Christmas Evening. All the activities at each phase of the project will be approved by
the management of the company (Serrador and Pinto, 2015).
Statement for the acceptance criteria
This section of such statement of work defines how the clients or the customers will accept such
deliverables resulting from such statement of work. There will be clearly defined as the
acceptance of the deliverables in this part of the work. In such a project, the acceptance of all
such deliverables will be residing with the chief marketing officer of the company PHL. The
approval of the project activities will be done after analyzing that each stage has been completed
appropriately and the scope of the work is also met (Ahmed and Anantatmula, 2017). Once, the

first phase of the project is completed, and the reports are provided by the contractors for the
review as well as approval in the company, the CMO of such company will either sign off such
approval for the starting of the next phase of project or they can ask for the completion of
outstanding activities within the project from the contractors (Svejvig and Andersen, 2015).
Once there are completed all the tasks of the project, the project will be reached in its closure or
the final stage. In this stage of the project, the project closure report will be provided by the
contractor along with the checklist of the project tasks to the CMO of PHL Company. The
acceptance of such documentation by the CMO of such company will help in acknowledging the
acceptance of all the deliverables of the project (Mkoba and Marnewick, 2016). It will also be
accepted that the contractor has completed all his assigned tasks in a proper manner. The
discrepancies involving the effective completion of the tasks of the project or the disagreement
between the selected contractor and the PHL Company will be referred to the contracting officers
of both the organizations for the discussion as well as the review (Todorović, et. al., 2015).
Other Requirements
All the team members of the project will submit the security forms to the company for the
clearance and accessing the badges to such a premise. The quality control team members, as well
as the vendor programmers, will be granted access to the servers of the company and the IT
functions. They will also be provided the accounts of the company which can be used for the
work related to the redesigning of such website of the company. One the project is completed; all
the accounts will be closed automatically. All the testing and programming related work will be
performed in the iLab of the company. In the implementation-related step of the project, there
will be scheduled the network outage. Prior to using such kind of network outage, all the servers
of the company will be back upped properly and the notification regarding that will also be
distributed to all the users of such information (Walker, 2015).

Conclusion
This report has presented the statement of work for the project of the website redevelopment for
the company PHL. This report has highlighted all the requirements related to the work of the
project as well as the scope of the project in an appropriate manner. The report has concluded
that it is very essential to have a piece of specific knowledge regarding the milestones, schedules
and the costs of the activities to be involved in the project management related phases. The
report has provided the complete statement of the work including the closure of the project.
