1. Introduction
The paper reflects on the preparation of a “Statement of Work (SOW)” for the PHL
company that is one of the Australian construction company. The organization mainly aims to
enhance the customer as well as marketing service with the help of different multi-tiered
approach for attracting new customers and additionally getting more share in the market. In order
to achieve the objectives, the chief executive officer has mainly approved the redevelopment
project of the website that will further redevelop the present PHL website. It is found that SOW
document that was prepared includes scope of the work as well as other work requirements that
are needed for the website implementation project. In addition to this, the SOW document also
contains work schedule and pricing information for reflecting that the entire project will get
completed by 25th December 2019 by utilizing budget of around $265,000. Moreover, the SOW

2. Project background
PHL which is one the construction company in Australia mainly have a strategic aim and

strategic objectives, the higher authority of the organization mainly decided to redevelop the

4. Statement of work requirements
It is found that in order to develop a website for the PHL construction company, it is
quite necessary to undertake different work activities which are mainly categorized into four
different phases.
Planning phase: In this specific phase, proper conversation with the project stakeholders
are done in order to gather ideas which are required for website development. After collection of
ideas, proper project proposal for the entire project is developed after which an agreement is
made so that the project can be delivered within time. After the project plan get approved and the
SOW document is released, the contractor selection procedure for the website design is done.
Definition and design phase: In this phase, various ideas about the project are gathered
and the data which is collected is analyzed successfully so that the design for the website will be
helpful in meeting the needs of PHL construction company. After this phase, the entire design of
the website is again designed by adding all the new features which are needed. In addition to
this, feasibility check as well as budget that is required for the project is analyzed in this phase.
In the last activity of this phase, proposal for the project is created for the successful
implementation of website for PHL.
Implementation phase: In the third phase, the prototype for the website is created for
making sure that all the needs and demands of the PHL construction company will be fulfilled.
After the construction of the project prototype, the team members develop database by validating
the project code. In addition to this, cross-browser testing is mainly undertaken for successful
optimization. Moreover, web content is built which include proper navigation structure as well as
site content pages. After creating the pages of the site proper details of the clients as well as

organization will be updated in the website. Lastly, testing is done for ensuring that the website
is working properly.
Conversion phase: In this phase, training facility is given to the team members and the
documents that are used in the project are approved. After then, the entire project plan is

of the new website. In addition to this, the checklist for the project as well as written status for
the entire project is developed. Lastly, the sign from the stakeholders are collected and the
project is closed.
