Introduction/Background
The primary contribution of this report for the presentation of the Statement of Work would deliver a
brief statement about the expectation and the accomplishments that any particular research is looking
forward to (Harrison and Lock 2017). This would include the listings of all the tasks that would be
required for the project including the planning behind the project that would be considered as the
project milestones and requirements considered as the necessities of completing a particular project.
For this particular report about the Statement of Work, it would be discussed how the Website
Redevelopment Project for PHL organization would be done. For this particular project, the Australia-
based organization is required to have the project developed to have a proper view about the project
and establish it in order to have a multi-tiered approach about the current market state of the
organization and the winning of new clients by capturing the additional market share.
The organization is currently looking forward to update the currently running website of the
organization, which is available at http://www.pashendale.weebly.com/. The primary project aim that
the organization is looking forward to is the enhancement of the website from the position it is in right
at this moment. The aim is to make the update regarding the website by making it richer in its content
(Papke-Shields and Boyer-Wright 2017). Since it is a construction company, then the current form of
the website has to be changed regarding the information about the development of a new building,
about the testimonials regarding the clients, the information about latest news in the company, the
affiliated platform for the network and the information about the other industries as well. It has also
been mentioned that PHL organization does not have any internal department for the IT requirements
of the organization and this is why, the requirements have to be outsourced completely (Calderón,
Ruiz and O’Connor 2017).
This project Statement of Work is also expected to have a proper development of the definition and
the details about the design-phase of the project where it has been previously mentioned that the
contractor need to initially work with the organization of PHL so that they can have a proper idea
about the gathering of the requirement for the project and the metrics regarding the requirements that
have been previously established. Following, it would be the development and the producing the
Statement of Work for the above-mentioned plan regarding the project including all the details about
the necessities about the work that needs to be done for the project and the scope of the projects
(Laporte and Chevalier 2016). It would also have the assurance about the schedule and the timing of
the project including the cost that would be required for completing the entire project within the
scheduled time.
Project Scope
The first question that is asked to any organization before the establishment of the plans for
redesigning a website is about the scope of the project that the organization has been attempting to
look forward to. This is an established fact about any website redevelopment plan or any other project
that needs to be developed for this purpose (Galvan et al. 2015). This is required to understand how
the project will help the organization in the short and the long run and how it would be referring to the
right end users or market after the project reaches its completion phase. This is the same reason that

the Project Scope needs to be addressed for the redevelopment of the website for the organization of
PHL so that the rich content of the website can be enhanced with the strategic objective of increasing
the availability of information about the website and the involvement of the customers more into
having the information about the information about the company and making the clients engage into
the organization more.
With the implementation of these plans, there is a constant chance of providing the phases to the
project to help in the determination of the customer involvement and customer engagement to the
website. The plan behind the redesigning of the website solely was based on the requirement of
engagement of more and more people related to the information shared on the website. The
probability of the customer engagement and the acquiring or more customers would be possible
through the development of the website based on the acceptance of testimonials and the shared
information according to the redesigned and redeveloped website (Alavipour and Arditi 2018). In
addition, the facilitation of the much timelier feedback would ensure the fact that there is a much more
responsiveness to the website than before. Ensuring such enhancements throughout the website
would make sure that the probability of the occurrence of the situation about the customers visiting
the website would increase and the acquiring of new customers would also be enhanced in this case.
Work Requirements
The redevelopment of the website for PHL organization would include several tasks that are
required for the proper steps that requires completion in addition to the arrangement of the project
for the successful implementation of the redevelopment for the website (O'Donovan 2017). The
requirements that are required to be completed as an estimation of the project success behind the
redevelopment of the rich content and other features for the website of PHL, can be explained in
details as follows:
 Establishment of the project phases: This is the initial planning for the work requirements
behind the website development phase where the ranges of the specific tasks needs to be
planned according to the project phases so that the project can begin without any
involvement of the mixing up of proper deliverables regarding each project phase. This must
be properly ensured by the website design contractor (Tereso et al. 2019). The contractor is
required for this phase as it is not feasible for the organization to develop their own website,
since the organization do not have an IT department facility of their own. The planning
phase will begin with the establishment of the other phases as well, including the detailed
plan regarding the proper plan related to the project, including the schedule of the work, the
work breakdown structure to ensure the proper involvement of the team behind the project
phases, the testing plan, the plans for the proper implementation of the redeveloped
website, the plan for training the employees in using the redeveloped website and the plan
for the transition of the website (Wren 2018). The contractor is in the responsibility of the
representation of the plan to the contractor and review it by the organization of PHL to allow
further approval of the contract and the project work
 Definition of the design phase: The organization of PHL has a requirement for the
contractor for this project. It is the fact that they want to hire all the workers who have earlier
worked for the organization previously because they would have a clear idea about the
requirements of the initial requirement and the metrics required for the project. In addition, if
these workers are previously experienced workers for the company then they would have a
better idea about the requirements that are needed to be collected for the redevelopment of
the website to help in the presentation of the proposal for further approval. This particular
phase would help the organization to further have the development and design of the
website ready for the testing of the website along with all the content that is required for
creating the website as the initial requirements (Shafiq et al. 2018).
 Testing phase: There would be presentation of the developed website in two versions, one
for the iLab, which belongs to the contractors and the limited-edition beta releases. The
testing phase would ensure that if the running of the website in both the cases identifies any
further modification needed, then it would be clearly identified in the testing phase so that
the assurance of the coding and site issues can be taken care of before the launch itself

(Mkoba and Marnewick 2016). The testing plan then requires a good presentation to the
PHL organization for further sanction of the phase so that meetings can be help between
the contractor and the organization for moving forward to the implementation phase.
 Implementation phase: This phase is important for the project to make the contractors
implement the redeveloped and redesigned website to the PHL server and provide support
for the same at any given time of any day (Kerzner 2017).
 Training phase: The training phase would begin with the implementation of the redesigned
website to ensure that the approved training plan is set accordingly. This will ensure that the
people in the organization system who were involved in the handling of the previous website
would handle the improved version as well (Hornby 2017). The written update of the training
plan would be again presented to the weekly meetings held for the implementation phase as
well.
 Conversion phase of the project: In this phase, the contractor would hand over all the
documentations used for the project to the organization of PHL and present a report for the
project closure at the same time. The PHL board would then take necessary measures to
ensure the project accordance and approve the plan (Badiru, Badiru and Badiru 2018). The
contractor is then supposed to present the checklist of the task where all the works to be
done for the project has been completed with the detailed information about all of them. The
web support that the contractor provided at all times during all these days would also be
completed and a written update about the project statuses is also required to ensure that the
approval of the work done are completed from both the ends (Nonino 2017).

Acceptance Criteria
This would also state the effective cases for the project that would ensure in which phases or at what
terms the project would be approved by the PHL executives and on what grounds would they approve to
the presented plan by the contractors including all the phases (Dohe and Pike 2018). Following would
thus be a representation of the acceptance criteria for the project as approved by the PHL organization
so that there would not be any work done in the project that would not be under their criteria for the
planning and designing of the redevelopment of the website:
 One of the primary criteria for the project would be the development of the plan according to the
set dates. According to this, the release of the Statement of Work has to be presented by 6
September 2019, with the other fixed dates as well.
 Like, PHL would also like to selection review process to be started and ended within 3 weeks of
the presenting of the Statement of Work. The contractor selection process has to begin from 27
September 2019 and the project needs to begin a week later.
 Then, it has to be declared that the finalization of the design review has to be completed within 6
weeks of the project completion and the implementation review needs to be completed within 6
weeks later again.
 This would continue till 6 December 2019, which would be the final date for the implementation
phase.
 The training phase needs to be completed within 7 days or a week from the assured date about
the PHL personnel, after which there would be a thorough review conducted of the completion of
the project, which would again need to be completed by a week and the project should formally
close on the Christmas eve.
