PROGRESSIVE REPORT
Part 3
Introduction
This report deals with the contents of a particular file, delving deep into my thoughts,
feelings and ideas. In this particular report, I selected the topic of educating girl child. The
features, which I adhered in the report, would be interest, problems and solutions. I would be
attaching critical approach towards the contents of the report. This criticality would reflect
the enhancement of my preconceived skills, expertise and knowledge.
Presentation of a particular file
The third part of the report delves deep into my internal thoughts. An interview with
the jury might have provided me with the opportunity to enrich my knowledge, skills and
expertise during the internship. My ambition to achieve the dreams led me to realize my
duties and responsibilities. My greatest challenge is to achieve success by overcoming the
obstacles towards enhancing my professional development.
Chapter 1: The file of educating the girl child
Children were the common sight whenever I strolled in the streets. I was surprised to
see children wearing uniforms and going to schools. When I was going to the workplace, I
saw the children waving at me through the bus windows. This sight makes me feel proud of
the government project regarding educating the girl child. In spite of the discriminations, the
government is managing the project in an effective manner (Curran, 2003). This is because of
the financial flexibility, which helps in catering to the needs of the students and the family
members. I compared the services in the public and private schools. After researching, I can
say that the services in the private schools are better. This is because the teachers are more
competent with the modern educational trends.

Chapter 2: Features of the file
Interests
In the last few weeks of my internship, I was allotted the duty of writing on something
new- schoolchildren. The photographs attracted me towards the field of education. I thought
that studying about the subject would help me to portray my feelings in a better manner. For
this, I needed to combine images, resources and writing. Instead of interviewing the teachers
and the school students, I lived their life for understanding their existentialist struggles (Ravi,
2013). Therefore, I requested permission from Sophie regarding integration of the services
within the schools. I got the permission as well her assistance in getting engaged with one of
the best schools of Bhutan.
Problems
Objective attitude was a greatest challenge for me in terms of writing the report. The
girl children in Bhutan spoke freely about the issues, which they have been facing in their
education. They are very well acquainted with the areas, which needs improvements. They
expressed their content with their possessions. They told me how much they liked the
education, which they are receiving. I investigated about them being conscious about
preserving their culture. This was the greatest difficulty for me. However, adoption of the
Data Protection Act (1998) helped me in preserving the privacy of the individual sentiments
of the girl children (Brown et al., 2018).
Solutions
Focusing on the allotted role helped me in seeking solutions for the problems. I
prepared lesson plans for improving the pronunciation of the girls. Especially I thought of
bringing changes in the pedagogy, as communication was the best means for reducing the
instance of knowledge gaps. I listened to their problems and asked questions for clarifying

my doubts. This enabled me to reach to the solutions in a strategic manner. For writing the
report, I chose a portrait of a schoolgirl, which I placed in the cover page. This enhanced the
clarity of the readers regarding my opinions.
Chapter 3: Critical approach and reflection to development of the file
Difference between this file and the others
The file I chose enhanced the clarity of the readers about my opinions. I was also
interested in political issues much more than the cultural issues. I thought writing about the
issues about the other countries is a difficult and challenging task.
Realization
In the initial stages, I was very ambitious of projecting the community development in
Bhutan. However, as I became acquainted with the course specifications, I realized that I
have to do lot of research. I tried my best to perform the duties and responsibilities.
The experience
I really liked the internship program. I have planned to continue with this profession. I
have thought of sending the pictures to the exhibitions and cafe, which my friend owns. They
have accepted the photos and have intimated me about its preview next month. I have also
planned to contact the university admins for positioning my pictures in the cover page of the
magazines.
Conclusion
I gained valuable experience through the internship program in the Royal University of
Bhutan. I would like to acknowledge the efforts of my tutor and professor for extending help
and support. Their hard work has helped me in discovering the photojournalist within me.
Practical experiments acted as an evaluation for my preconceived skills, expertise and
