Report
AI Summary
This report examines the relationship between physical activity and abdominal obesity in youth. The article explores the impact of physical activity on weight control, focusing on the target population of youth and the quantitative methodology used to study the effects of exercise. The report highlights the findings, which indicate an increasing rate of abdominal obesity due to a lack of physical activity, emphasizing the importance of regular exercise (30-60 minutes, 3 times a week) to mitigate health risks such as cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. It also includes a discussion on the study's limitations and credibility, as well as its potential use in research papers and library databases. The report concludes that the youth should be made aware of the importance of physical exercises to secure them from diseases. It also includes a list of references used for the study.

Title: Physical activity and abdominal obesity in Youth
Contribution of the authors:
In this article, author focuses on the relationship which exists between the carrying over the
physical activity and increasing and decreasing of the youth body weight. The overweight
results into the birth of different cardiovascular diseases. The writer focused on how the
physical activity plays an important role in controlling the weight of the youth.
About the article:
The article is written about the role of physical activity in controlling the weight of the youth.
The overweight results into many chronic diseases like metabolic syndrome, diabetes,
cardiovascular diseases, and others.
Evaluation of the methodology
Quantitative methodology is being undertaken for studying the effect of physical exercises on
body weight and controlling the flow of diseases. In this article, writer has provided the clear
description of the effect of physical activity over increasing abdominal obesity, effect of
aerobic exercises over the cardio respiratory system which helps in overcoming the
cardiovascular diseases and effects of training program to reduce the abdominal obesity in the
youth (National Nutrition Surveillance Centre).
Target population
The youth are the target population because no physical exercises have increased the weight
of the youth which results into the increasing rate of diseases caused in them at very early
age.
Selection of the sample undertaken
The sample is selected on the random basis. The sample is taken from both boys and girls to
study the physical exercise rate in controlling the flow of diseases. From the study of sample
size, author is capable of providing the information like the boys of age between 7 to 11 years
can have 59 kg of weight due to no schedule of physical activity in their daily routine
curriculum. In the study of year 2007, it has been concluded that the boy of age 17 can have
89 kg of weight which can have the adverse effect on his physical growth (Sobaler). The

effects of carrying over physical exercise on the small sample undertaken can be seen in
terms of reduced weight which helps in controlling the abdominal obesity (Borodulin).
Method of conducting the study
Quantitative approach and the selection of sample from boys and girls is the main method
equipped by the author for conducting research study.
Findings
It has been researched that in the last 20 years, the abdominal obesity is increasing at the
faster rate due to the negligence given to the inclusion of physical exercise in their daily
curriculum activities. The weight status of the child should be checked periodically so that it
can be controlled at the early stage through the training program of physical exercises. 30 to
60 minutes exercise in 3 days of the week is capable of controlling the increasing weight of
adolescent. The diet control program can be omitted with the scheduling of physical exercise
training program in the routine work (Barros). The health risks can be minimized.
How study responsible
The study is helpful is making the youth aware of including physical exercises in their daily
curriculum routine because it helps them to secure from the infection and flow of diseases
like diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and others.
Concern areas of the study
The limitation of the research study is that it does not focus on type of physical exercises
which are helpful in controlling the weight and inclusion of harmful diseases.
Credibility of the study for making conclusion
The research study is sufficient enough for drawing out conclusion because it provides the
quantitative data of boys and girls sample in relation to the increasing and decreasing weight
with the exclusion and inclusion of physical exercises (Kim and Lee).
Use of article in the research paper
This article is convenient for making research paper and video games because it represent the
quantitative data of sample taken in the tabular form

Use of library database
The data collected from the library courses can be used for drawing out seminar reports for
making people aware about the effects of increasing weight in the flow of harmful diseases
like diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and others.
