Project
AI Summary
This project focuses on creating a physical activity plan targeting non-participants, specifically older adults aged 60-70, with the aim of promoting health and energy through slow running. The project is structured in two steps: outlining the plan, including target group, outcomes, support, and activities; and adding detail, covering delivery, key considerations, resources, and timescales. The project addresses the need for increased physical activity, especially in the UK, and aligns with the 'sport for good' initiative. The plan includes strategies for attracting participants, providing online support, and creating a suitable environment. Detailed planning involves considerations such as resources, timescales, leadership, and monitoring progress, including the use of HR teams, attendance sheets, and software for progress tracking. The student has provided a detailed plan for implementation and evaluation.

Sport and Physical Activity Project Planning Tool
Your chosen project can be to develop and start new physical activity with a non participant group with society, who the
government would like to target in a ‘sport for good’ (sport plus or plus sport) programme.
There are two steps to this tool:
Step 1 – The outline to the plan. Who are you are targeting? What outcomes do you want to achieve? How will you support the participants
you are targeting? Which are the activities do you plan to develop?
Step 2 – Adding the detail. How will you deliver the plan? What are all the key considerations? What additional resources (staff, facilities,
equipment, training, support) will you need? What are the key timescales?
Before you start the detailed planning it's good to consider:
1. What are the aims and motivation for your initial project plan?
2. What evidence is there that this project is needed?
3. Does your planned activity add to what else is available locally or duplicate? Are there others locally you can work in partnership with to
maximise resources? Who else can help you?
