EQUITY
Equity can be defined as the fairness in sports, access of equality
and identifying inequalities and taking further steps to address
them (Kane, 2015).
It is about introducing new changes in the culture and format of
sport to make the sport system equally accessible for everybody
in the society.

EQUITY
This further implies no discrimination between different groups of
people such as rich-poor, urban-rural and others. Equity refers to giving
equal chances to play sport to everyone. It basically aims at giving
equal chances of participation to everyone in the society and
representing the potential of the groups that are under represented.
For instance, disabled people, women, girls and people belongs to
ethnic minorities (Winnick and Porretta, 2016).

INCLUSION
Inclusive in sports can be defined as the concept where disabled
people are given the chance of participation in the games by
modifying the activities and assistive technology.
It can be further explained as the helping guide which includes
the strategies of inclusion that aims at enhancing the physical and
social skills and of the disabled students. These types of
strategies does not include any extended planning or any
additional equipment (Kane, 2015).

GENDER STRATIFICATION
Gender stratification can be defined as the social ranking in
which men have the higher status as compare to women. Study
of gender stratification aims at differentiating men and women on
the basis of circumstances they face in their life (Winnick and
Porretta, 2016).
In simple words gender stratification refers to the society which
discriminate between men and women on the basis of wealth,
power and privilege.

• As the gender stratification refers to men’s having higher status. So
in that case it ultimately affects the confidence level of women’s.
They feel inferior than men’s in many cases (Unicef, 2017).
• Women’s are not allowed to play all the games listed due to gender
stratification.

IMPACT ON YOUNG PEOPLE’S LIFE OF
GENDER STRATIFICATION
• Some important steps has been taken remove the participation gap
between the men and women but still women’s are facing many
challenges to play, volunteer and work in sports organizations
(British Council, 2016).
• For instance, the most prominent culture platform of UK, women’s
sport gets only 7% of sports media coverage.
