AI Summary
This physics assignment provides explanations of key concepts including red shift, defined as the formation of an object due to electromagnetic radiation under high wavelength, and its importance in astronomy. The Doppler Effect, which is the change in wavelength of light and sound waves relative to a moving observer, is also explained. Furthermore, the assignment describes cosmic background radiation as electromagnetic radiation from the Big Bang theory. The Big Bang Theory itself is presented as the prevailing explanation for the beginning of the universe, supported by various pieces of evidence. Finally, the assignment references the UK's successful '5 A Day' campaign, promoting the consumption of at least 400g of fruits and vegetables daily to reduce the risk of severe health conditions, aligning with World Health Organization recommendations. Red Shift- The formation of an object due to electromagnetic radiation under high
wavelength is defined as red shift. Red shift is considered as the key theory for
astronomers that includes the stretched wavelength of light that is shifted to the red
area of spectrum (Landoni et al., 2015).
Doppler effect- Doppler Effect is defined as the change in wavelength of light and
sound waves considered as source in respect to the observer who is moving away
from each other. It is also termed as Doppler shift and was named after the Austrian
scientist named Christian Doppler (Ahmad et al., 2018).
Cosmic background radiation- Cosmic background radiation is defined as the
electromagnetic radiation derived from Big Bang theory and termed as relic radiation.
Cosmic background radiation is considered as the faint radiation that fills up the space
and glow very string within the microwave area of the spectrum (Kashlinsky et al.,
2018).
The theory that explains the beginning of universe is the Big Bang Theory that
explains what exactly happened and what led to the formation of the universe. There
are various evidence that support the concept of Big Bang Theory as the cosmological
model that revolves around the theories to describe the origin of universe (Rubakov &
Gorbunov, 2017).
The 5 A Day campaign was successful in UK that recommended the people of UK to
eat minimum 400g of vegetables and fruits per day in order to reduce any long-term
threat or danger of severe health condition like stroke, cancer or heart diseases. This
campaign was imitated after advice from World Health Organization (WHO) (nhs.uk,
2019).
