Tort law:
In tort law, if there will be any negligence occurred by any party, he is liable for the
damages according to the law. Negligence occurred when someone fails to act as a reasonable
person to any person whom he owes a duty under some circumstances. Breach of the obligations
can cause by any person intentionally or unintentionally. When a breach of responsibility harm
someone he is liable to get remedies. The person can claim damages under Tort law. Negligence
has done by the party with or without the intention.
In the media report, it was described that pill testing is applied to those people who are
taking drugs in their regular life. It is very dangerous for younger people because they are more
attracted to drugs in their life. Negligence occurred by a professor who knows about the
consequence of the pill testing on the people which can cause them psychiatric harm or death
(Butterfield et al. 2016).
Corporation law:
Corporate law is also known as business law which is discussed about the companies or
the organization and businesses. Business is done by the organization which relates to corporate
sectors discussed in this law. It stops organizations from using their power to do any act which
can cause harm to other people. Business law or company law also can be used as a casual term
for corporate law; it covers a broad aspect regarding business law, commercial law or company
law. Corporate entities use their rights and power to restrain any other person who is not as
powerful as them (Whelan 2013).

In this media report, it mentioned that professor of Curtin University Steve Allsop
supported high quality testing pill in the music festival. He wants to see the result for pill testing
whether it works or not on the person who are taking drugs in their regular life The professor
said that they should invest in the pill testing to see the result of that on the younger people who
are taking the drugs (Groves 2018). The leading bodies of the drug research centre use their
power for pill testing, which can be stopped by the law.
Criminal law:
A crime relating to any person in respect of health, moral welfare, property and safety is
discussed in criminal law. The offence against any person can lead to punishment and, the victim
can claim any compensation regarding the offence. When any person from a particular
organization supports or done any act which can affect the public’s health, then it is a criminal
offence. This law applied to a person or organization that supports any criminal activity. It is
different from civil laws or any other law because it imposes penalties to the person which leads
to losing their rights and duties.
In the media report, it states that pill testing in the music festival can harm people’s life.
Pill testing in real life can cause death or any other physical problem in their life (Day et al.
2018). The pill testing has shown as the support of taking drugs to the younger people, and it can
be encouraging to them for taking more drugs. It is dangerous for any person who is taking drugs
in their life, and some of the American drugs organizations support pill testing which can cause
their life (O'Gara et al. 2013).

2. Various ways of the law serve:
 It allows people to ensure reasonable predictability in their daily life. The disregards or
negligence of law can cause them damage in real life. Negligence occurs when the person
is aware of his action, and it can cause any damage to the other person. The damage can
be done intentionally or unintentionally.
The negligence caused by Steve Allsop professor of Curtin University’s National Drug
Research Institute; he told that high-quality pill testing in the music festival supported by
him. He is aware that pill testing can result in severe damage to those people who are
taking the pill, but he still supports the testing to see the outcomes.
 It encourages people to take drugs because they know that pill can save their life, but
there are some circumstances which can lead them to serious harm to their body. The
pills are not any magic bullets which can cure any auctioned regarding drugs which they
are taken at homes or any nightclubs (Palamar, Acosta and Cleland 2017). It discourages
the people from taking the proper measurement for drugs they are taken in their daily life
(Jenkinson et al 2014).
 It imposes rights to people who support pill testing by saying that it can help in a broader
way to save their lives. They said that if there were high quality testing, it would be a
better approach to analyze the measurement of the drugs. Pill testing in real life damage
the immune system of any person.
 In this media report it was stated that professor is investing more to improve pill testing
in more high quality; but either way it can harm the people and cause severe damages or
death to them (Partridge, Lucke and Hall 2014). The corporate law can take legal actions

against him and stop him from doing that. Law gives them the responsibility to take
decision more precisely and wisely so that it should not harm any people.
 When there is negligence, it should always be mentioned the penalties which can enforce
on the person who did that. The head of the drug research bodies and Gary Hulse is the
UWA professor of addiction medicine supported pill testing. They also said that pill
testing should be done with education about the risk of the after effects (van Amsterdam
et al. 2015). Pill testing can be done in real life with enough measurement and proper
education about this.
 According to the criminal law when there is any criminal activity done by any person,
then he is liable for the punishment. In the media report the pill testing on the people to
see the result of the drugs they have taken in the home are working correctly or not.
3. In the above mentioned media report, it discussed pill testing which can cause any negligence
or they do it with the wrong intention to them. The above circumstantial laws have to know by
all organizations or any person so that they can take their actions against them. Omar Khorshid
president of Australian Medical Association WA said that pill testing marketing is done correctly
but the people getting it as the message for taking drugs is acceptable (Williams et al. 2015).
4. Media always have a major role in any news; the article which is printed in the news paper has
a direct effect on the people. The peoples could be more aware in their life from the news which
was printed in the newspaper. In daily life it is the main source for the people to know about the
surroundings incidents and the effects from those incidents. In this particular media report it
mentioned that the pill testing in the American music festival because of some serious health
issues to younger people. For the pill testing there was a message spreading to the youngsters
that it is okay to take the dangerous drugs in the nightclubs or home, the pill can make that easy

to recover from the health issue. It also showed that some of the powerful people also supporting
the pill testing which made a bad effect on the common people.
