This task is going to cover; the details of the small business, the environmental analysis of the business which
comprises of the internal and external factors of the business and also ethical issues of the business.
The details of the business
The aspects of the business include
a. Name of the small business
The business name is Pizza INN.
b. Type of the business
Pizza Inn is a small, fast food business that involves baking and decorating pizza in different flavors. Pizza Inn
will be serving pizza in one size and artisan fare topping such as San Daniele prosciutto, smoked provolone
cheese, caramelized pears, and buffalo mozzarella.
c. Vision and Mission of the business
The vision of the business is to be the best fast food shop around Canberra. The mission of the business is to
satisfy its customers’ needs, make a profit and have qualified staff.
d. Location
Pizza Inn location is at Canberra, Australia. There three more similar fast food shop in the same location will be
competitive.
e. Number of stuff and position
There are five staff members in the enterprise who include: the manager who is the owner of the business, two
cooks and two customer’s attendants.

Environmental and cultural analysis
According to Zinovieva, Kuznetsova, Dorfman, Limarev, and Limareva (2016) Environmental analysis of the
business comprises of both internal and external environment.
Internal environment
The internal environmental analysis of the business includes;
a) The manager and the staff
The qualification of the employees matters a lot because it determines the quality of the output. The employees
need to be good at their work, and they should be able to offer excellent customer care services. The manager
should be a good leader, should be innovative and should have excellent skills to manage and supervise the
employees and all the daily activities going on in the business.
b) Capital and resources
Enough capital is required to start and run the business, and also enough resources are necessary to avoid future
challenges like the money to hire new employees or need to purchase new equipment for the business.
c) Business culture
Business culture includes the values, attitude, and characteristics of the employees in the business. The manager
has to be a good role model for the employees to cultivate the good values (Dolva, Susomrith & Standing 2016)

External environment
They include;
i. Customers
The success of any business depends on the availability of the market, and the enterprise offers quality food to
ensure the attraction and retention of the customers. Lack of customers hurts the business; hence the business is
doing all it can to ensure the expansion of its market.
ii. Competition from other businesses
The business has competitors since there are many other similar businesses in the same location. New unique
ideas implementation is required to fight the competition.
Ethic and social responsibilities.
According to Ferrell and Fraedrich (2015), Ethic is the values and moral principles set by a business that defines
the wrong or the rights of a group or an individual. In business, there must be work ethic to ensure the growth of
the business. Following the steps below to ensure that the work ethics are followed and the consequences of
those who break them;
a) Defining the consequences of unethical behaviors
Setting rules for the employees and consequences also for those employees who break the business rules. The
manager can give this through a written paper, verbal warning or suspension or even firing employees who keep
violating workplace like theft, physical abuse, favoritism of staff members and sexual harassment.

For the business to succeed the concept of teamwork is very vital which include teamwork from supervisors,
employees to the customers. Employees who can put their differences aside and work together are terminated
since they can cause much damage to the business (Betta, 2016).
c) The manager should stress the importance of integrity
Business owners need to keep stressing the integrity of their employees which is a very vital aspect that
determines the future of the business (Trevino & Nelson 2016).
Social responsibilities of the business
Social responsibility means the duty of the business to benefit, promote and uphold interest to their employees,
customers, suppliers and the society as a whole. The social responsibilities of business are divided into four; the
economic responsibility, ethical responsibilities, legal responsibilities and discretionary responsibility (Heald,
2018).
Conclusion
For a successful business, the business has to consider the environmental analysis which includes the internal
and the external factors. The business also has to consider the work ethics that governs the integrity of the staff
and also to consider the impact it has on its stakeholders and the surrounding society.
