Bolton Clark is a healthcare centre that believes in providing person centred care as
one of the most important approach for caring for patients in the modern generation. It keeps
patients at the centre of the decision-making and undertakes interventions that ensure
autonomy and dignity of the patients, respecting their cultures and working according to their
will. These are some of the values that every Healthcare professional should follow in the
present generation. Bolton Clark is one such Health Care Centre that provides a huge range of
services to aged people all over the state and has been serving the nation for over 200 years
(Bolton Clarke, 2018). Compassion and respect are the central values of the care they provide
and have now become one of the most loved Healthcare organisations of the nation.
During the placement, huge number of opportunities has come in the way that helped
in the development of skills and knowledge of all the placements trainees to understand the
profession and thereby develop ideas about what consumers expect from the Healthcare
professionals. It is realised that Bolton Clarke always is highly successful in understanding
the unique needs, interest, experiences and abilities of the consumers and thereby provide
service in a way that help them to not only be satisfied but also lead better quality lives. They
are mainly seen to provide Home Support in different ways. They are seen to provide home
nursing mainly covering a number of interventions like aged care, care after hospitals
discharge, dementia care diabetic services, effective management of medicines, wound
management, palliative care and many others. not only that they also provide the various kind
of Home Support for personal task like meal preparation, dressing, toileting, increasing
grooming and others of the consumers. They also provide different types of social support
like restorative activities of Creative exercises, socialization program shopping and many
others. Not only that they also provide domestic assistance to aged people who are not able to
conduct the regular domestic activities like dishwashing, cloth washing and ironing and many
others. in this way they make a huge amount of differences in the lives of The aged patients

who suffer from dependency and depression in such period due to the inability to work
actively. Moreover, they also provide support to the service users in understanding the
government funded, self-funded or a combination of both funded systems helping them to
understand which would be proper for them to take up. Other services also provided by
Bolton Clarke which includes dietician services Mental Health Services occupational
therapies, Podiatry, speech pathology and many others. Life after retirement is quite difficult
for The aged people as they all of a sudden face loneliness in their life because a large
amount of time when they used to work is mainly spent by sitting alone now. In such
situations, Bolton Clarke services help to engage such patients in regular community
activities, recreational facilities, friendly support staff activities, making connections to local
communities and many others. In this way they make their lives not only beautiful but also
engaging. These make them feel socially included. It is also quite famous for providing care
and support to the aged people by providing workers who are not merely professionals but
genuinely care for the patients. They provide 24 by7 services so that they can meet up all the
emergency requirements of any aged patient, help to care for the carer, palliative care
especially for taking care of patients, hair dressing salon services and many others. In a way it

dependent or fail to conduct their daily activities in properly.
From the above discussion, it can be easily understood that the Healthcare

live happily with better quality life and therefore person centred care is provided to them.
