INTRODUCTION
Development basically involves new ideas and state of being developed. In reference to
Placement, it is basically a period of work which is considered as an integrated and assessed part
of a student’s degree. The present report basically involves reflective diaries which allows the
students to select employability criteria and also development of professional skills through
reflective learning. In reference to reflective learning, it plays a very important role in the
learning process for the students to reflect on their experience and step away. In context to
reflective learning, it generally focuses on the development of the various critical thinking skills
through the internal process of exploring areas and examining strengths for the career
improvement. Through reflective learning, it make the students well aware about the errors and
weakness and also help them to avoid in the future and also it aid students taking responsibility
for their learning. The present report basically involves the possible job opportunities and
analysis of the job specification requirements. In addition to that it comprises of personal
strengths, weakness in employability and career plan for the future and further employability
skills. In addition to that, it involves the development of the employability skills and how to
perform at a satisfactory standard during their placement. Lastly, it involves the Professional
development journey and experience of the first year placement. With the help of these reflective
diaries, it helps in improving the overall employability skills.
MAIN BODY
Job opportunities plays a very important role and it is very important to have right skills,
knowledge and experience when working at a job role at a certain organization. During my
placement at Indian Heaven Ltd, my designation was Manager. I was really excited for this
placement opportunity and it was always a dream for me to get exposure and understand the
things in a practical manner (Mursi, 2019). In context to job specification, it is basically a list of
recommended qualities for a person to succeed and qualify for. In reference to my job as a
manager, my major responsibilities were overseeing the different operations, effectively
managing and recruiting employees, generating the different financial reports and handling the
complaints of the customers. Another major responsibility was to ensure safety and health
regulations and also maintaining inventory at the company. In reference to Knowledge, skills and
abilities, it is basically a common tool which is used by the human resource department. In my

case, for being a manager i was highly qualified and had all the skills and knowledge which is
basically required and essential for a restaurant manager (Embergenov and et.al, 2020).

Weakness
I always have the feeling of doing things
quickly as possible which affects the quality

Sometime i get stress when i have too many
tasks.
Opportunities
I will attending a major marketing
conference next month which will allow for
more and better networking and also i will
be attending training seminars (Arrigoni,
Halset and Tosi, 2018).
My co manager will be on leave soon and
covering his duties will play a very
important role and can act as a great career
development opportunity for me.
Threats
Due to staff shortages, i was often
overworked and this could negatively affect
my all over creativity.
Due to COVID, the food industry has
resulted in slow growth for the marketing
industry and various organizations have laid
off staff members and the company was
considering further cutbacks.
With the help of carrying out my personal strengths and weakness, it really helps me in
developing my knowledge, skills and experience in my employability and also helps me a lot in
contributing towards my further employability skills. In reference to employability skills, it
refers to the set of transferable skills and key personal attributes which are highly valued by the
employers and which are essential for the effective performance in the workplace. I was able to
analyse my weakness and strengths which plays a very important role in setting up my career

plan. Also, I will take necessary actions and measures for the purpose to overcome my weakness

requirement of improving my knowledge and enhancing through studies on regular basis as it

The main role of taking up online courses in relation to the use of technology is to
achieve success. Through studying on a regular basis and forming the proper study plan, I will be
able to manage the overall work in a effective way. The employability skills are considered to be
very necessary and are highly essential to get employment. These skills play a very important
role after the placement. It is also very important to have better understanding about the set of
skills and subject as per the assigned job role. Moreover, it is very important to know about the
employment skills which are required by an individual. Also, I am able to use my academic skills
in a effective way. Being a manager in Indian Heaven Ltd, I will take proper care of my
communication skills (Kleck and Burger, 2018). With the help of good communication skills, I
interacted with the customers and also resolved their queries. It is very important to have the
ability to interact in complex situations. Critical Thinking skills are considered to be another
important employability skill which is necessary to work in the company. The Employees are
unable to carry on the work and coming up with new issues on a constant basis. Also at the time
of doing job, it becomes really important for me to manage a decorum in the workplace.
Language, Attire and work habits plays a very important role in creating a overall influence on
the team members and new employees. There is a need of working with ethics for the purpose to
manage the organization in a effective way. Furthermore, it helps in smooth operations(CUI and
et.al, 2019).
Leadership skills plays a very important role in managing the entire team. It is very
important for a team lead to assign the tasks to the team members according to the capabilities
and skills. As a leader, I always motivate them to work in a manner so that it helps in achieving
the desired goals. I also allows the other team members to take part in the decision making
process. With the help of effective leadership skills, it helps me to manage the work and leading

the team in a suitable manner. Also there is a significant importance of employability skills in my
work life as it helps me a lot in carrying on the work assigned to me after the placement in a
effective way. Moreover, it also helps me in maintaining better working conditions and carrying
out my responsibilities in a better manner. During my working, I also analysed that there are
certain skills which need to be developed further (Haeberli and Ihsane, 2022).
Professional Development Plan is basically a document that helps in improving and
enhancing the skills which are weak. It basically comprises of certain actions that need to be
