An explanation of why academic
integrity at University is so important
Academic integrity is a concept of being honest towards the academic
work which an individual does at schools or universities. It is basically a
moral code for academics. It provides knowledge and new ideas to the
staff and students so that their skills can get developed. Academic
integrity provides the value to an individual’s degree it provides the
proper knowledge to the students regarding the academic which helps in
building their career. It is important for an individual so that they can
give them in the assigned task by avoiding the bad consequences which
can affect the career of a students. In simpler terms the
academic misconduct can be said as the action that are taken for getting
unfair academic advantage. There are some of the basic rules that were
set by the university or the schools, but to have some unfair academic
advantage the individual tends to use some unfair means that are not
according to the rules given by the university and the school.
Game Design Skills used to produce the game
For the completion of the game I have got the technical
skills that were required for Bomb Shell. By adhering to
the rules of academic integrity I was able create, design
and organise the Bomb shell. I was also having the skills
of writing and paraphrasing so that I could easily frame
the question. The skills of academic research and the
skills required for PowerPoint was mainly needed.
The designed game will be used for assessing
plagiarism. This will help to supervise the work or
project done by students. In this game, there are two
students which will be involved and they will have
the responsibility to understand whether their work
is plagiarised or not.
There are two students who will be playing this
game and they are aware of academic misconduct.
The new game naming “Plag checker” is designed
for students who are aware about the concept of
academic misconduct and integrity.
It consists of card game and it attracts individuals
who have interest in academic integrity. This game
is designed for different age segments of students.
This is mainly designed for improving the
knowledge and understanding of plagiarism.
Objectives
This game has an objective of managing the
plagiarism within projects. The new game “Plag
checker” consists list of questions which are asked
from students. This game will help students to have
increased knowledge and awareness of academic
integrity.
Starting the game
In the stating of the game the professor or
the person who is having a great knowledge
about the acdemic misconduct and about
the plagiarism will be having a set of 10
special ethic card. In these ethic card there
will be question about the plagiarism and
about the academic misconduct on one side
of the card and on the other side of the card
will be the answer for the respective
question.
In this the role of the student will be that
they will be having 3 cards with them and
them them A,B,C is going to be inscribed.
The studenst will be selecting the cards on
the basis of the question that is being asked
About plagiarism
Plagiarism is the act in which work of others is copied
and used in own projects. This is common among
universities and colleges. There are work submitted by
students in their universities and it is their duty to
complete their work on time. If students are under
pressure or stress, they involve into frauds and try to
copy work or projects of others. Plagiarism is known as
crime when done in different academic projects. All
students are allowed to manage their work and
complete the projects and files on time. This is
important for students to ensure that they are not
copying their work. this will decline their creativity and
