as an individual one owns with or without the consent of original author which can lead to
various penalties and punishment as it is incorporation in individual work without getting fully
acknowledged. Present report will assess about what is academic plagiarism and its relevance to
professionalism in business environment and various related topics.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND TYPES
Academic plagiarism refers to the representation of another author or writers languages,
thought, ideas or expression as individuals own original work, which is being considered as
serious offence and is being considered as violation of integrity which is being related to breach
of journalistic ethics and academics conduct which can accounts to individual to suspension and
various penalties. In layman language it can be understood as activity or practice of taking
someone else work or idea and passing and incorporating them off as individual original work. It
can also be understood as the process and practice of using another person ideas or work and
pretending it to be the work of an individual which is not in that regards of serving the original
work. It is also termed as stealing of thoughts, ideas, views and opinions of original writer or
author and passing it to be the individual or one's own which is being derived from the existing
sources such as journals and websites (Meuschke, 2018). It is being relevant in academic writing
as academician who are pursuing top degree and are studying at a high level is accountable to
various topics to study and which is being quite obvious that they might not have knowledge of
all the topics which helps in them to accumulate various ideas and thought which might helps
them in understanding of the topic and helps with providing ways to get through there way to
pass what they are being pursuing and will also help in assessment for professors about the
students understanding of relevant topic and which if being full copied may result in penalties

the students.
There are various types of plagiarism such as self plagiarism happens when student submits
previous work and mixes with the same, without getting approval from the professor. Direct
plagiarism refers to word to word copying of a part of someone work without any attribution
and quotation to the same (Horbach, Halffman, 2019). Academic plagiarism refers to when an
individual neglect or misquote to cite their sources or unintentionally paraphrase a source by
using group of similar words , structure, sentences without any sorting to the above, Mosaic
plagiarism when students lend phrase from the source without using any quotations and finds
synonyms of the same where it is of being same structure and meaning.
Internet has made major role in this as there are various techniques and tools which helps
with assessment of copying and similarity index of work by the individual from various sources
which is being originally being published.
RELEVANCY
Plagiarism is highly relevant and important for professional in environment to business
which is being subject to various dynamics as a result it can affect the brad reputation in negative
way where the only way to gain the same is with the providing genuine information of services
and products being offered by the company which ensures business on the fair grounds and not
meant with the purpose to cheat or fraud anybody which ensure loyalty of the customer with
their trust and association which is being termed as long term. Fully copying work is illegal and
can lead to various troubles for business as well as for individuals where they believe it to be
easy source of getting there work done from multiple sources where even small portion of work
being copied which is being unauthorised by the original author can lead to various accusation
on the business (Vysotska, 2018). It is being understood as the integrity is being associated with
the work that is being original whereby writing helps in expressing voice of professionals and
business without which it could be very difficult to explain why the decision and conclusions are
being made upon. It states the being able to reflect confidence with the due diligence with the
support of critical thinking and helps in effective communication of thoughts that reflect business

WAYS TO AVOID PLAGIARISM
There are being various ways to improve upon the academic writing and account to avoid
plagiarism such as keeping track and monitoring of sources which accounts to while doing
research it is being important to have record of each source of each information which is being
presented and whereby it can give rise to plagiarism as individual will be forgot from where the
idea can come from and will represent the work as individual own work (Palmer, 2018). The
next step is to paraphrase and quote where quoting is the means of copying information word to
word where it is being required to be introduced in one own words and which needs to be
enclosed with the quotation mark with attribution that is being correct with the author whereby
paraphrasing refers to means of using individual own words to explain something related with
the source which helps in getting most valuable & important information. The next is to cite the
sources where every time individual paraphrase or quote something it needs to give citation that
helps in identifying with the original author along with the year of publication and various page
numbers (Ausbury,2020). The next and last is to use various plagiarism checker tool on internet
which helps to scan document, compare with large database and which highlight the things that
are being similar and which can be used to rephrase and accounts to reduction in copying and
writing by individuals own languages.

From the above report its is being understood as what is plagiarism and how it is being
relevant to professionals in business environment where the report also briefed on various types
of plagiarism such as self, direct and other and also led to the understanding of how to avoid the
same.
