The change in the requirements of the project without the change in budget, resource and
time often results in missed deadlines and cost overruns. This indicates that the schedule of the
project will be affected the most as with the change in the requirements, it becomes impossible to
deliver a products within the set schedule. The effect of change in project scope or scope creep is
significant for the schedule of the project mainly because the new deliverables or the
requirements mainly need extra effort and re-planning (Mirza, Pourzolfaghar & Shahnazari,
2013). Therefore, it is obvious that the previously set schedules cannot be followed in this case
and therefore the need for modification in project schedule is significant (Suma &
LakshmiMadhuri, 2013). The modification in the schedule of the project is needed in order to
address the needed modifications or changes in the project.
The change in the scope is necessary to be communicated to the stakeholders of the
project. For this a project manager generally makes use of a change request form, where the
change that is required in the project is formally documented. The change request form is used to
record the requests for the change to meet the objectives of a team. In a change request form,,
each change is documented before it is approved. This change request form is communicated to
all the stakeholders so that the stakeholders have a clear knowledge about the condition of the
project. Apart from that, a communication plan is made by the project team to communicate the
changes and progress of a project to the stakeholders.

Yes, the changes in the scope of the project require extra job since a lot of activities in the
project is needed to be re planned. The chances of early completion of the project are quite less
in case of a scope creep. It is generally seen that a project is delayed in case of a scope creep.
Yes, it is necessary to submit the change request in writing as by doing that, it becomes easier to
communicate the changes to the stakeholders of the project. I agree with the fact that there are a
number of benefits of documenting the change request, one of which include the accurate
estimation of the resources and time required for incorporating all the changes in a project.
I agree with the fact that change control system provides an excellent tool for
communicating with the stakeholders. The necessity of communicating the changes and progress
in the project to the stakeholders is essential since stakeholders of the project can be distracted by
long projects. The engagement of the stakeholders help in project success and therefore it is
essential to keep the stakeholders informed about the changes in the project. I completely agree
with the fact that having a proper communication with the project stakeholders is important for
communicating the change requirements to them. A smooth communication process can help in
easy information flow and therefore, every project should make use of a communication plan.
