INTRODUCTION
Resources are the basic need for the functioning of any business
organisation. To use them in an efficient way proper planning
has to be done. Only with the help of this one can manage the
affairs of the firm in a better way. In this report , the importance
of planning and managing the resources is been elaborated by
taking an example of National Health Service , UK.

TASK 1
In order to manufacture any product every organisation need
resources. These are the basic raw material for any target to be
accomplished. Resources may be tangible which can be seen or
touched such as money, infrastructure , raw material ,etc. or it
may be intangible which cannot be touched , for example,
skills, motivation etc. It is important to manage them for their
effective consumption (Evans and et.al., 2016). This will really
help to minimize the waste. Economics of the material wealth of
the organisation can be made effective by planning and
managing the resources.

To explain the importance of resources for any organisation , it
is important to take Resource dependence theory into
consideration. This theory depicts that external resources have a
significant impact on the behaviour of organisation. Hence, it is
important to procure them in the best possible way. It says that
organisation depend on the resources to have a powerful image
in the target market. Though labour , raw material etc. are the
major resources but along with this capital is also one of the
factor which influence the functioning of organisation. Hence, it
is important to plan and manage the resources to beat the
competitors in this era.

Resources includes all the sources related to the human
satisfaction,health , strength, skills, funds, capital assets,
technologies and other cultural and physical aspects. Resources
are not perceived according to their nature but they are defined
and used according to the needs of the market and a particular
business to satisfy the needs of the customers. The mangers of
the organisation track the market place and procure the raw
material accordingly to stand out in the target market. Hence,
we can say that resources are the dynamic cultural conceptions.

Resource perception is thus the assessment done by the individuals
for the need of raw material to manufacture the products that
can beat the competitors. According to this, the managers
procure the raw material or exchange the materials in lieu of
another . Many political issues effects while using the resources
at local, national and international levels. They must be use in
such a way that they should not harm the population residing
over a particular region. Planning is done by the managers of all
the business organisation to beat the competitors of the target
market.

Resource management and planning is very important for an
efficient working of health and social care sector. For this
proper planning must have to be done which involves three
stages. First of all ,the service providers must have to make the
list of resources for providing efficient services to the patients.
Then, an average estimation of their need have to be calculated
by evaluating the details of previous months. After this, their
proper scheduling has to be done to allocate them in a proper
way.

For health and social care sector, careful consideration must be
there while planning the resources (Robinson, Moore and
Hooley, 2018). Working hours also play a major role while
planning the resources. For the efficient performance of the
doctors there must not be any work load upon them. Hence,
according to this the requisite number of doctors have to be
hired. This will really assist in having efficient resources to
deliver the best services.

For these social care sectors, sources of funding plays a major role.
The service providers have to communicate with the finance
providers to have the significant amount of fund to install new
equipments or other machineries to treat the patients with the
latest techniques. One has to classify the cost to make a budget
which can be helpful while taking help of funds from the other
organisation which donates into the social services.

Only with this, an efficient resource management can be done to
serve all the individuals in need. Team work plays a vital role to
assist the services with maximum efficiency. This will lead to
reduce the communication gap to avoid any kind of confusion
while treating the patients. If there is deficiency of anything,
will the help of proper coordination one can manage all the
affairs (Rappaport, 2015).

CONCLUSION
From above analysis , we can say that for the effective working of
any organisation it is important to take the steps according to
the availability of the resources so that they can be utilised in a
best possible way to attain the objective. It is the responsibility
of the managers to make the decisions accordingly.
