processed fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts and seeds, spices,
herbs etc. and excludes all types of animal products such as
fish, eggs, meat, poultry and much more.
Moreover, the plant based diet concept had come in the
recent times when it was seen that most of the people were
suffering from various diseases and were unable to maintain
the healthy lifestyle

After the pandemic hit it was seen in most of the reports that people all over the world are
consuming more plant based diet so that their health might be improved.
Also, from the national diet and nutrition survey in 2008-2019 it was found out that plant based
eat and drink products have nearly doubled over the period from 6.7% to 13.1%.
Moreover, it was found out that currently 14% of adults in UK are following the meat free diet.
