1.1 Background of Plastic Collective
Preventing the plastic leaking practices in the marine body the plastic collective firm aims to
contribute towards bringing the sustainable benefits as well as creativity in the market (Rezaee
2016). Through the empowerment of local community the firm has focused in case of dealing
with the increasing amount of plastic production and its negative impact on the marine life
(Plasticcollective.co 2019). By proving the recycling machine to the people in coastal area,
plastic collective firm has tried to share the knowledge regarding the importance of dealing with
the increasing amount of plastic production.

providing the machines for plastic recycling, but also through sharing education and knowledge
the firm as made an important contribution towards managing the socio cultural benefits towards
the community.

2. 1 Plastic Collective sustainability-related strategy:
Ensuring the environmental sustainability in the coastal areas, Plastic Collective Firm has
adopted the strategy for sharing knowledge and education among people. With this initiative the
company has aimed to focus on increasing awareness among people regarding the increasing
amount of plastic consumption in all over the world and its negative impact on the human life.
Different workshops have been introduced for empowering individuals. In order to expand its
services, different partnership programs have been introduced towards providing the economic
solutions to the community so that the philosophy for reducing the negative environmental

market, the firm has ensured the positive contribution of the employees by standardized their
capabilities through different training programs. Maintaining standard collaboration with local
community, the company has made its strategic direction towards ensuring the long lasting
economic growth. Introducing the Plastic Neutral Workshops, three stage partnership
comprehensive package has been introduced by the company (Plasticcollective.co 2019).

2.2 Identification of Sustainability-related issues faced by PC.
Improper waste management structure
Waste management has become one of the important sustainability concerns in the current
scenario. Amount of plastic consumption is quite high in case of developed countries rather than
developing countries. Due to industrialization, increasing amount of plastic products has made
the natural resource contaminated (Assembly 2015). On the other hand, mostly in the coastal
areas, improper waste, improper waste management practices and lack of knowledge among the
people have created sustainability challenges for PC.
Increasing transport costs
Due to increasing the transportation costs it becomes challenging for the firm to maintain the
plastic collection process. Visiting the individual location for collecting waste become expensive

framework can be developed. Based on triple bottom line, the sustainability parameters are being
measured. Analyzing the case of Plastic collective Firm, it has been identified that increasing
marine pollution has become important concern for the company, which is also influencing the
economic growth process in the form (Jambeck et al., 2015). Through the effective
implementation o three bottom line, the stakeholder they can play an effective role in case of
ensuring the positive engagement of stakeholders towards the growth process. Analyzing the
situation in Plastic collective Firm, it has been identified that with effective implication of
stakeholder theory, the company aims to introduce the green strategic initiatives so that both the
socio- economic benefits can be ensured (Monteiro, do Sul and Costa 2018). On the other hand,
utilizing the natural resources in right manner the company also aims to focus on bringing the
improvements for local community. In that case, the company has aimed to implement the
resource based theory in its operational process so that with the effective utilization of resources,
overall growth can ensure the long term sustainability.
