There are different kinds of play such as physical play, social play, constructive play, and
fantasy play. I have planned different kinds of play which stimulated and aided learning. I
would like to describe about the play in the kitchen. The children pretend to cook, clean,
and save the world. This helps them in nurturing the imagination and improves the sense of
adventure. This kind of play stimulates the children and aids their learning. This will help
them to learn essential skills such as sharing, caring, working with others. This helps them
to concentrate.

2. Describe specific aspects of the different kinds of play you have selected and relate them to
how these play activities are appropriate for the children under your care.
 Provide specific descriptions of the children under your care to support your answer.
 Your responses must include how you implemented the support strategies for the two (2)
children with additional support needs as outlined in their personalised support plan.
There are different kinds of play which I selected. These are exploratory play,
manipulative play, constructive play, dramatic play, physically active plays, language-
based plays, music, and movement plays and creative plays. The toys, materials and some
resources which are provided are the important parts of the play. There are many safe toys
and equipment which can be bought from different sources like shops and educational
supplies. At the centre, there are some children who were not mentally stable, the time I
was doing my placements. These children needed some special care to support their
activities. I implemented some strategies which helped the children who required special
care. These strategies are making them feel secure and letting them know that the educator
is there to help them.
3. Describe specific aspects of the play activities you have selected and explain how this support
the emerging physical needs of each child.
Provide specific examples of physical skills supported by the play activities you have chosen.
ANS: There are different aspects of play activities which helps to improve their strengths
related to physical, cognitive, and emotional strength. These aspects are enjoyable,
meaningful, symbolic, communicative, sociable, adventurous, risky, and interactive. This
helps the children to find the creativity in their own. For instance, they learn how to
improve imagination and physical strength. As we know, play is an important part of
healthy brain development. This helps them to engage with things which are nearly around
them.
4. Describe how these play activities provide the children experiences to explore a range of
concepts.
Provide specific examples for a range of concepts. (Example of concepts may include but are
not limited to on/off, full/empty, sharp/dull, up/down, big/little, thick/thin, hard/soft, etc. For

ANS: The play activities help children to explore different concepts like on/off, big/little,
up/down and many more.

5. Explain how specific aspects of the play activities you have selected support the following
areas of children’s development.
Physical
This provide the strength to the children performing various play activity that
also enhances the muscle development within children.
Creative
By Play activity children can be creative by performing their role play in play
activity. They support their creativity skill and enhance their learning and
education.
Social
Through play activity children can being social with their peers which are
highly effective and allow them to get interacted with others to form better
relationship.
Emotional
Through play activity children may get emotional. This can be learn through
perform various play activity that emotionally attach them with various activity
and develop and support emotional impact.
Language
Through play activities, children learn to use the language for communicating
with their peers and other person. This language may include sign language
vocal or any other language through which they can communicate with their
peers others.
Cognitive
Through play activity, children get their cognitive development which allowed
them for their proper growth and development and improve their quality of life.

1. Describe some resources and equipment that will be used in the selected play activities and
explain how they would support the development of the children’s fine and gross motor skills.
Provide specific examples of resources and equipment and specific examples of the fine and
gross motor skills that they help develop.
Direction of the selected play activities like running, jumping, throwing and catch, dump and fall which can
improve the gross motor skill that help to control arms leg head and trunk. These activities may require play
area and some object which can be utilized as helping to perform such type of activity. Puzzle and blocks are
some of the resources which can be highly effective for improving gross motor skill.
2. Describe how the resources selected will challenge and intrigue and encourage choice and
spontaneity in physically active play activities.
Provide specific examples of these resources and how they encourage choice and
spontaneity.
Puzzle and blocks are highly effective and enforces gross motor skills to get develop and introduces the
entering and increase choices which can spontaneously enhances their physical activity by performing the
play activity. When child starts to play with puzzle they get interested and attracted towards performing this
activity more precisely. This also enable them to enhance their physical activity along with motor skill that
increase choice and spontaneity.

3. Describe the range of materials, resources, and technologies that you will be utilising in the
selected play activities and how they promote exploration and problem solving and stimulate
cognitive development.
Resources and materials like crayons and construction paper, different coloured construction paper, glue,
print image of different animal can be highly effective and utilize for selected play activity that can promote
exploration and problem solving. This is highly effective for the cognitive development and utilizes by
children and to perform play activity for their better growth and development.
4. Describe specific elements of the outdoor and indoor environments that will allow the
children to gain experiences which scaffold learning and development and offer chances for
appropriate risk-taking.
Provide specific examples of scaffolding of learning and development and controlled
situations that offer chances for appropriate risk-taking.
Indoor elements may include rug, chair, stool, activity table, playing area are some of the indoor element
which can be helpful to improve the children experience and offer changes to appropriate risk taking.
Outdoor element may include slides and other fun activity element that are effective to enhance the growth
and development and enhance as appropriate risk taking.
5. Document how you will provide a balance of natural and artificial lighting, good ventilation,
and fresh air.
In Indoor, there is need to maintain the proper lighting by using various tube lights and other light resources
that should not focuses on children's directly. This should be reflecting to avoid a any irritation against light
to any children. There should also include good ventilation at proper distance which can allow proper
ventilation along with providing fresh air that should we helpful to balance nature and artificial premises.

6. Describe how you will organise the indoor and outdoor spaces, such that the children will
have the opportunity to be independent whilst having the support they need to create their
own games and experiences.
There is need to maintain time table which can allow to organize indoor and outdoor spaces effectively. In
daytime, when there is good environment for children then there is need to take them to outdoor to get
interact opportunity in the nature which enable them to get independent from having any type of support by
making their own games and experiences. During unfavourable weather environment, there is need to use the
indoor facility or the spaces where different blocks, play area and other facility are able to provide
opportunity for independent living in the care setting. It also allows for better growth and development by
playing their games and experiences.

This is the outdoor play activity and which children are interested to get slides from higher to lower place. In
this placement of equipment and resources, there is need for soil that can be helpful for the safety purpose
when due to any reason children may fall. There is also need for some resources like human resource that can
allow to keep eye on children for the safety purpose.

There is a better information in the photo that allowed to individual and collaborative experience for children
to fun activity with together. This can be more enjoyable and enable them change by the play activity more
effectively.

Through this fun activity, it explore about the natural material which are open environment. Playing on sand
