program development.
A new player, Samuel, has arrived at your club and is eager to start training. You provide him with

The FITT principles of training are essential in that it gives a player the right
formula in which to conduct his training for a particular period. Every player needs to
conduct training exercises that will be of benefit to him and the sport that he is
undertaking. The principle of training ensures that the right steps are taken in order for
one to be able to fully balance the exercises that he will be undertaking ( Sergi,2018).
This is also important in ensuring that the player does not concentrate on only one type
of exercise which will in turn lead to him not being fit in the right way
The principles of training are;
Frequency-which is how often one exercises
Intensity-how hard your exercise is
Time-the time of the day that the exercise is undertaken
Type-the kind of exercise that one is carrying out
Samuel has formulated a training plan that is intended to assist him in achieving
fitness levels. Playing football is an exhaustive venture and therefore one need to be
physically fit in order to perform at the right levels that are required by the club and the
sport in general. The training schedule is for 3 weeks and comprises of beach recovery,
weight sessions, running and ball training.
The schedule can be seen to observe the principles of training as it has tried to
capture all the relevant requirements that are spelt out in the training formula. First, there
is a frequency in which the training exercise can be seen to be occurring. The schedule
covers all the days of the week and there is no single day that is skipped except only

during the game day. This is also repeated on all the 3 weeks and therefore the schedule
can be said to observe the principles of frequency (Bushman, 2018). The frequency with
which the training is conducted is essential in ensuring that the body of the player adapts
to the demands that it is being put through and therefore the body is able to maintain this
pressure in the long run.in the case that there is no constant frequency, the body will
succumb to pressure as it will not be used to the high energy levels that are required.
In the case of intensity, the training schedule also follows the principle to the
latter. The training schedule starts with the weights sessions which is a very hard part of
the training exercises. Samuel is expected to lift several weights in order to build up his
muscles and toughen up for the game which is normally aggressive and requires a lot of
energy. The weights sessions provide him with the much needed physical fitness. There
is also the 10km run that is conducted every Saturday by him. This is also another
important aspect of the training intensity. This exercise ensures that he is able to burn
calories and extra fats that may be there in the body and thus make him physically fit for
the game. The two parts of the training shows the hardness of the training that he is
conducting and which goes in line with the principle of intensity in the training aspect
(Kumar, Robinson, & Till,2015).
The time with which the training is conducted is also very critical for a
successful training schedule. Samuel is able to allocate the weights sessions in the
morning hours. This is the period in which he is still fresh and therefore has a lot of
energy that he can user ion the process of doing weights.in doing this, Samuel is able to
reap maximum benefits from the weight session as opposed if the sessions could have
been done in the afternoon in which he will have started getting tired. The ball, training
are conducted on a different day in order to give the body enough time to adjust to the

hardest training when the body has all the available energy which is usually in the
morning. Therefore, the training schedule by Samuel can be said to have observed the
principle of time based on the manner in which the training sessions have been aligned
all through the 3 weeks ( DeSimone,2019).
The last issue is that of the type of training that is conducted.it is important that
one identifies the type of training that he would wish to have in relation to the kind of
activities that he will be undertaking. This is important as every time of sport requires
different kind of training exercises. Samuel is a football player and therefore requires a
lot of stamina during the game. He has chosen to carry out weight sessions and running
in order to boost his strengths. These types of exercise are essential in the sense that it
provides him with enough body muscles that can enable him withstand the numerous
hard tackles that are evident in the game of football. The running also ensures that he is
able to keep up with the pace of the game for the required 90 minutes without getting
exhausted midway. This is crucial as any exhaustion that may creep in may in the end
cost the team dearly. Therefore, the training schedule that he has formulated has
managed to observe this aspect of the principle of training (Morton, Colenso-Semple, &
Phillips,2019).
In conclusion we can confidently state that the training schedule of Samuel has
been able to fully observe and comply with the demands of the principles of training that
is the FITT.

regulation of diet of the players. The dietitian examines all the players
and may alter the kind of diet that they consume based on the medical
conditions and the individual needs. The players are therefore able to
benefit greatly as they can be advised on what kind of die to consume
based on the conditions that they are in.
Nutritionist The nutritionist is important to the players in the club as he is able to
advise them on the best way of feeding. The players are advised on the
necessary nutrients that they need to have on the body depending on the
kind of sport that they are in. Based on this, they are able to be told on the
particular foods that they need to consume in order for their body to
function well in their sport.
