Report
AI Summary
This report discusses how project management (PM) application systems can lead to effective PM knowledge management and decision-making. It references the project management life cycle, emphasizing system integration, verification, and validation. The report highlights the role of application systems in developing interrelations between processes and organizing them, leading to more accurate decision-making by processing raw information and identifying critical data. Knowledge management is crucial for understanding project aspects and challenges, such as delays, budget overruns, and requirement changes. The report also acknowledges the limitations of software accuracy and the importance of project managers' perceptions in successful decision-making, citing various sources and standards in project management and systems engineering.

The application system in the project management are the tools which helps to
develop the interrelations between the processes and helps to organise the
processes.
The application software has certain impacts on the decision making process.
The accurate system software will help the project managers to indicate the
right decision making by processing the raw information. It will also help to
indentify the difference between important and non-critical data. The data can
be sorted using these system application (Kerzner,2013). It will help to save the
time and the cost of the project management process. The application software
will process the different knowledge areas and will fetch the information from
the each stages (SEBoK, 2018). The sorted information will be regarded as
relevant in the project management and decision making process The
knowledge management helps to understand the different possible aspects of
the project. There are certain challenges that may occur during the realization of
the project such as unexpected delay in the implementation of the project, the
project may run out of the estimated budget and the sudden changes in the
requirements in the middle of the compilation of the project. In order to
eliminate all those challenges certain standardizations like six sigma can be
considered as the parameter of the evaluation of the scope of the project. The
information are the raw materials for the decision making process. There are
various applications and services provided by the software giants which process
the information and helps the organizations and project managers in the
decision making process (Nejib, Beyer & Yakabovicz,2017). These software
companies claim that their software are accurate in the processing of the
information (Al-Mamary, Shamsuddin & Abdul Hamid,2013). However, it has
been found out no system or the software can be accurate, the successful
