monitoring the performance of the project and can further help in managing

It is important to maintain and manage the program and portfolio in a project as
it helps in easier tracking of the project progress. Management of program and
portfolios are important as it helps in documenting the different processes and
the activities in the project.
With accurate program and portfolio management, it is possible to track the
progress of the project along with the resources allocate for the project. It is
essential to understand the importance of monitoring and tracking the project
progress. With easier portfolio management, it is possible to easily monitor the
activities in a project as every step and stages of the project is documented.

it is possible to accurately evaluate the performance of the project and
therefore it is a significant toll that the project managers can make use of.
I think it is important for the project managers to regularly track and evaluate
the performance of the project. This is possible mainly because a portfolio gives
an access to a collection of different activities associated with a project.
Thus it can be said that accurate management of the project portfolios is
important for project managers.
With accurate management of the portfolios, evaluation of the project
performance becomes easier. In case any changes are required, project manager
can easily implement it with active program and portfolio management. This is
possible since the issues in the project can be easily tracked and identified.
Change management is important for a project as it is a systematic approach of
dealing with the transformations of the different project processes, technologies
and the organizational goals. Appropriate project implementation is necessary
for managing the objectives of the project. The purpose of change management
is to implement accurate strategies for implementation of the changes in the
project and for controlling the changes that has been implemented.
