An explanation why academic integrity at university is so important
The concept of academic integrity is defined as an essential part of tertiary study. The main
reason behind the importance of academic integrity is that it helps students to bring new and
effective ideas for their projects. This is very important for an individual to give best chance of
success after analysing the assessment with an honest attitude. The concept of academic integrity
is defined as foundation of academic scholarship and in this students often need guidance and
confusing. This is an emerging initiative taken by universities for managing students. There is
need for enabling students to conduct academic projects properly. Academic misconduct is
defined as action that one takes in the breach of principle for academic integrity. This provides
advantage to students in order to give them fair treatments and judgements. Fraud triangle is
known as a technique of academic integrity. This is an intervention for minimising likelihood of
academic misconduct. The concept of academic triangle represents that students conduct fraud
when they have any pressure while doing the projects. In context of fraud triangle, it is analysed
that pressure must be minimised for students. Second reason of students to conduct fraud is
mental stress and pressure. There are conditions where students feel intense level of pressure

and they commit plagiarism in their work. Academic integrity board concept is a variant of snake
and ladders game. This provides pathway from starting the university to graduation level. If the
chosen game is inappropriate, then it takes longer time for graduation. Students are allowed to
work in pair and they have their turns in one round. A move helps to reach new square. When
students move across the game board at a particular point then plagiarism is managed.
Skills used for producing the game
There are several skills that I have used while making this project of game. I have used my
technical skills to manage the development of game and how it can be used for checking
plagiarism effectively. I have worked hard and studied various sources to develop a software
which easily points out plagiarism in a file and highlights the plagiarism used in a file with spins.
The name of software designed by me is Point the Plag. I have also tested this software on
several platforms and it proves to be worthy. I have used my innovation, design and written skills
in order to develop this special application. It took me 10 months to design the application. It
also took me extra 3 months to design the same for windows.
Plagiarism is use of ideas, thoughts and writings of someone. It is copying or stealing someone
else's data for some benefit. The benefits can be primary or secondary depending upon the
demand of data. In era of globalisation Plagiarism is mainly performed by students as most of
data related to their study and reports is available on the internet. So students directly copy data
from internet and paste it in their content. It is practised all over the globe on heavy basis as it
becomes easy for the user to directly get the data. The practice of plagiarism is also performed in
many companies by employees. Employees do not find data on their own they just copy it from
internet and submit it to managers. In recent times this problem is a major issue for management
and they are continuously searching for solution. Plagiarism is also done by students in their
examinations and in their projects.
Increasing plagiarism in whole world motivated me for making a software which directly catches
plagiarism. The software designed is very quick in performing operations which will help many
users to identify plagiarism in a content. It is also compatible with windows and IOS. I am also
doing continuous research as I soon want to develop this software for android. For the same I
have hired professional software engineers. In coming 2 months I will launch Beta version of this

software. Beta version will be available to selected users. Due to high demand in market for
plagiarism identifying software I have focused on research and development department which is
continuously working on its development.
