1CONTRIBUTION TO THE POLITITCAL PROCESSES OF AMERICA
I am a citizen of the United States of America. It is my duty to participate to in the
political processes of America. As a citizen of the United States of America, I feel that it is
very important for every individual to participate in the political proceedings of the United
States of America. Citizens can participate in the political proceedings of the country by
means of voting and electing a representative who will represent these people in the
parliament itself. The chosen representative, after becoming the minister in the Parliament
starts working for the people.
The theme of this essay is to state the contributions that I would make to the
political processes of the country using the various interest group techniques.
I will start this essay by pointing out the common fact that participation in the
political processes of a country is the basic right of the citizens of that country, no matter
which country it might be. The citizens of a particular country participate in the political
processes of that country by casting votes and electing a representative to fight for them
(Morris, 689). Once that representative wins in the votes and becomes a minister or the
President, he/she starts working to fulfil the promises that he/she made to the people of the
country. The process is similar in The United States of America also (Morrris, 689). Having
mentioned in the introduction before that just like other people of the country, it is my
responsibility to contribute to the political processes of the country, I will start my
explanation by stating that first it is necessary to describe the various interest groups
techniques that are present in the country itself.
On looking at the different interest groups in the country, I found there to be five
different interest group technique present in the country. These include:

2CONTRIBUTION TO THE POLITITCAL PROCESSES OF AMERICA
Lobbying – I feel that lobbying is an important part of the political process as it would allow
me and the other citizens of the country to present our needs and demands to the ministers
themselves.
The Ratings Game – This is another important technique that I feel is important for me
because it would allow me to guess for myself the performance of the ministers in the
country. Based on this I would be able to understand whether the ministers are working
properly or not.
Assisting in Campaigns – This I feel is the third most important process of participation in
the political processes of the country. Assisting in campaigns would allow me to know and
understand the messages of the ministers themselves.
Public Pressure Generation – This I feel is the most effective technique that can be used by
me and the people of the country to make the politicians listen to their needs and demands.
Constituents as Lobbyists – The fifth step that I feel will ultimately help the people in
ensuring that they participate in the pollical actions of the country.
From the above discussions, I can conclude that the best way to participate in the
politics of U.S.A is to follow all these interests groups techniques as these techniques would
help the people of the country to get the type of Government that they had always wanted in
the country.
